Numb In America: What Drugs Did To Me
I became addicted to pain killers at the age of 18 after numerous shoulder surgeries from playing high school football.

Life was normal before this. I had ambitions and goals. Everything was going great for me.

Soon after, I became addicted to heroin and cocaine. I battled this for a few years as it sucked away all of my life force. Nothing else mattered to me but the feeling of being numb.

It took everything from me.

I overdosed on cocaine at the age of 20 after losing my mom to cancer. My dad died while I was in jail of a heart attack.

I relapsed after only one month of being out of jail.

Down to nothing, it took a miracle for me to seek help. My girlfriend lied to me and told me she was pregnant with my child in hopes I would change.

I turned myself in, and have been in rehab ever since.

I've been clean for 2 and 1/2 years now and have come to some amazing realisations.

What is the purpose for drugs in America? Is it so formerly successful people like me can be led astray?

I am deeply upset that the US allows Afghanistan to produce 90% of the world's heroin supply.

Any thoughts on the war on drugs? It seems like a huge profit game for our government.

"Numb in America", yet you're wearing a Germany flag... what's up with that?

And BTW, I am severely against high school football... there are so many repeat injuries that cause recurring problems through out life... kids don't realize the implications of that shit, and they just want to be popular and impress people at that age... it's not right to subject them to the ignorant sport of football.

Cocaine and heroin, meh whatever.

For some reason when I post from my cell phone it shows a Germany flag.. when I use my computer it shows US.

I've lived in Utah my whole life.

This is very true.

I know if I break my arm or get injured and the doctor prescribes me an opiate pain killer now, it would be like jumping off a cliff again and I run the risk of starting all over with my addiction.

Now I have to TELL doctors not to give me any, whereas before, I wanted nothing but.

Good for you for getting off that shit. I hope you stay off the booze 2, that shit messes up a lot of lives. Think about the unprotected boarders with Mexico, the mexican nationals come right thru the boarder with all sorts of drugs (cocaine, heroin, meth and the list goes on and on. You cant stop them or the Afghan poppy fields, it is pretty well known TPTB have been involved for a long time. All you can do is say no. Good luck!

The Amounts of Prescriptions for Opioids in the USA is amazing
and no one with a little bit of knowledge believe that this
is happening without a Master-Plan!

The Medical System in the US paid for each "Customer"
instead of a healing Success,
this System keep the Patients inside a Labyrinth
without a Exit instead of providing a Recovery!

Fact is that there was never a Nation hooked on so many different Drugs like the USA of today,
when we would stop the big Pharmaceutical Companies
to produce "Medications" the USA would collapsed in the matter of Days!

I have Documents about some Disaster in the US where the
People became unable to get their Prescriptions-
the Results was catastrophic!

@ Op,
great- do not give up,
the Life can be beautiful without running
from one Doc to the next!

Thank you.

Yep. I would drive to Salt Lake City everyday and meet the Mexican drug runners.

I found that associating with them (the game) was almost as addicting as the drugs themselves.

Most people don't get any medical help with their addiction. Most are just thrown into jail and are part of the 1.5 million prisoners in our prisons.

ALL DRUGS should be legalized and medical help given to those stupid enough to become addicted.
