(OP) User ID: 1133676 United States 02/07/2012 11:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Girl Genius Yes, I was thinking the same thing. But, my God, who in their right mind can vote for Santorum?? Fluoride and the propaganda media have certainly done their job :( They are not voting for him, its all theater... Think about it, the MSM has either Romney or Santy placing first while Paul is always in third. All they have to do is skew votes to match this and the masses will accept it because it has been broadcast/programmed into them for the past two days. After Nevada, the way they were moving around the numbers, I am thinking it's as blatant as that. TPTB want their brokered convention and the power to dramatically decide at the very last minute and push a new candidate forward unvetted. I don't think we'll have any of these four as the final GOP candidate. Total theater. I think you may be right. I know the brokered convention is what Ron Paul is counting on. It's good for it to keep bouncing back and forth between them instead of Romney winning all of the states. It's really our only hope. Are they allowed to bring out a new candidate? I hope not. It doesn't seem like it would be allowed. I would think they could only re-assign the delegates to candidates that were originally on the ballot in that state. That seems to be common sense but when has politics ever been about sense? The GOP could also see that Romney isn't go to work out and now they may want to go to a brokered convention hence Santorum winning tonight. The Media would love a brokered convention as well. Yes. There is speculation (Madsen, among others) that it will be Jeb Bush and the baton passed back. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed… |

User ID: 1651600 United States 02/07/2012 11:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm saying this right now. The Romney/Gingrich run is over. Quoting: Joe Boxer Next up is Santorum/Paul.....Santorum will get the santorum vetted out of him in the next 3 weeks and Paul will ultimately rise to the top. This will happen. Brokered convention: Paul wins! I wish I could believe that and I wish even more it would come true. Hiyas Mojo, we live in some pretty crazy times! Ultimately I would have loved to see a MN win for Paul tonight. The second best outcome was to have Santorum take it. I do predict a Maine win for Paul. Curious thing tonight. For the people that voted for Santorum that I had a chance to speak with, everyone of them voted based on his "sincerity" and nothing about policy. Santorum's "sincerity" will be vetted out of him soon. I thought MN was a little smarter unfortunately. Interesting... sincerity. Says something about them for sure. I think you are right about Maine. I even heard a talking head on CNN say that. I too would rather see Santorum than the other guys win. About 40,000 people so far have voted for Paul tonight. Pretty good I'd say. These numbers of votes are really small overall anyway. .............................. Never give up -- even when we lose, we win I pray that Paul runs third party (if he doesn't win the nomination with his team's delegates strategy). Can you imagine what a run that would be?! Of course, the odds would be stacked against him in this rigged system, but look at how much headway he's making in getting important (previously taboo) issues into the mainstream and waking people up. On the one hand, it's disheartening and infuriating; yet, at the same time I marvel at how much progress we are making. How would that work getting on all the ballots? Quoting: calin Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe another point behind the GOP strategy of going for a brokered convention is that it logistically precludes a third party run by any of the current players. About 40,000 people so far have voted for Paul tonight. Pretty good I'd say. These numbers of votes are really small overall anyway. Quoting: calin Amazingly so. My husband and I were marveling earlier this evening that MO's primary had about 3% turnout (possibly due to it being just a preference poll). I noticed the other day with Nevada as well. They got about half of what was expected. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed… |
