Space Debris warning from 2009 - Thousands of Years

The fireball that was reported on Feb. 1st reminded me about this fireball in 2009:

The FAA notified pilots on Saturday to be aware of possible space debris after a collision Tuesday between U.S. and Russian communication satellites.

The chief of Russia's Mission Control says clouds of debris from the collision will circle Earth for thousands of years and threaten numerous satellites.


February 1st is the anniversary of the Shuttle disaster over Palestine Tx. (Reported that it exploded over Palestine, then said to have come down over Palestine Tx). This is interesting because it reminds me of the other Palestine that is always in the news, forever reminding us of continual wars for "peace" or wars for Israel, which reminds me that a first time Israeli astronaut was one of the seven killed in the shuttle explosion.
