This may or may not be related to it, but while I was driving home this evening [about 6 pm] I noticed a huge, white, square-like object in the sky just northeast of the setting sun. It didn't look like a planet or a star. I intended to look at it through my binoculars when I got home. Unfortunately, some clouds blocked it from my view once I got there. Did anyone else see this phenomenom, too? |

This meteor[?] resembled it, but much lower altitude. I must have seen the last of it because I watched it turn from bright white light to yellow-orange flame; then it was gone. Of course it was moving through the sky, so I don't know how far away it was when it faded from view. I looked at the photos on Space Weather and what I saw didn't look like them. |
