Oh and normally this time of year the highs are normally in the upper 30,s while the lows drop in the teens.

And we usually have some decent snows in which we have had none yet this winter at all

Yep, same here. But then again, I'm in TN, too. Way too warm. I just hope that doesn't mean we end up with an early and long summer. If we get a long season, I hope it's the weather we are having now.

Quite a change from last winter, isn't it? I think that was the 2nd coldest/snowiest winter I can remember and I've been here almost 20 years.

I know it's kind of cool. I bought $130 worth of wood for the winter and haven't even used half of it. Haven't even had to fool with a fire lately. Hate to see what summer is going to bring though.

U aint kidden about that as last winter it was dam cold and I remember back in 2001 the whole winter was frikken cold as for over a month from part of dec 2000 thru jan 2001 it never got above 22-25 degrees and snowed alot and the sun never shined and I and my family said nuff of this and went to our winter home and property in polk city florida to get out of it

Central Mississippi, same here. April temps, loving it. Last year was SO COLD.

Nw Ohio been like April all winter.
Temp would drop to 20 then snow then be 50 the next day.
This happened a few times. It around 40-45here today

It hit 61 here in Boston today,according to my outdoor thermometer. This has been a mild winter, little snow.

Should be 20s-30s day, teens night, in Boston during Jan-Feb, consistently 10 degrees or more above normal, today far above normal.

60 in my Ohio city. Shorts weather. My window is wide open right now and I'm still warm.

Hi OP. Northern Illinois here. Went out to run some errands today and didn't even wear a coat. Last year on February 3rd we had a blizzard and 2 feet of snow! Bought new boots a few months ago and haven't even used them this season.

Yup thats for sure warm for ohio.
Weird for sure and looks like its happening all over the usa while way way below normal temps are hitting countries on the other side of the globe.

Something is up because some places like Poland, Moscow Russia, and Japan are recording like record snowfalls and temperatures.

Here in Arkansas it is like 70's most days. Once it was in the 80's last week or so. The birds think it is spring and they are tweeting like crazy. It looks like March or April outside.
Dandilions and Daffidills, spring peepers, robins, all signs point to it is spring. We haven't really had a winter worth speaking of. We had a few nights in the 20's but it warms up in the day time. It is very extreme. I actually wanted a good cold spell and even some snow because this doesn't feel right.

Wow, And yea I thought I knew what winter was till I went to wamego kansas last winter for dec and jan and good lord, That was a winter as many weeks went on while I was there where I would go out in the morn at sunrise to smoke a cig, well maybe 1/4 of it as it would be -5 below 0 and snowin like crazy and constant 1-20 mph winds and when it snows there I mean it snows and highs for many a days there never got above 10 degrees f.

And I checked the winter there and hell its been as warm there and some days warmer there than here, as a matter of fact look at the yahoo weather for that town I was in this time last year where right now and the forecast are showing them as being from 40-60 degrees warmer than this same time last year

Yup thats what I mentioned as being on the other side of the globe like the one guy who reported way way cold temps in poland I think it was

My husband and I were talking about this today. I am in MA and have not really had to even wear a jacket most days this "winter." The today show actually had a story on the warm weather this morning.

January 1989 was warmer in SW Ohio.

And get this, About 20 mins ago it started thundering and lightning and it has been getting stronger every couple mins and this is def not the norm at all for winter time and much more like spring/summer storms and have a look at yahoo weather now as its showing this now and for a couple days ahead [link to weather.yahoo.com]

Two words!!!!! SOLAR MAXIMUM!!!!!! One guy said it was warmer in sw ohio in 1989. Well that year was a solar maximum, even had one of the biggest solar storms ever recorded March of that year. 1999-2000 was the warmest winter on record for US also a solar maximum. Now this year same warm mild weather and whaddya know we're in another solar maximum, although this one's predicted to not be as bad as even the 2000 one.

Nashville here and LOVING IT. I'm really cold-natured and totally fine with any global warming that comes my way.

All the cold is bottled up at the moment but from some GFS models i looked at this morning we could be put into a deep-freeze in another 8-10 days

here in Ohio we have 4 or 5 more days in the 40's which is almost unheard of for February.....

Minneapolis here, only 14" of snow so far this winter, and most of it has melted, highs in the mid 40's much of this week, mid 50's in parts of Minnesota. Bare ground all around. I was planting seeds in a workable ground on January 10th, then there was some snow, lows about 5 below, the ground froze. Now with days above freezing and bare ground, thinking about planting again. It's been the winter of 3 weeks!

Various trees and shrubs starting to break bud here in mid missouri,50's and 60's here, if we get a bad cold snap gonna lose alot of vegetation
