K index now down to 3 GREEN

That is from when they took a reading earlier during a dip. If you look at this USAF Graph you see a time line. The green and yellow bubbles represent the actual est kp. The small + sign is the predicted kp The large crosses are one for the actual with a bubble under it for the current actual and the other large cross with a small + under it is for the 4 hr ahead predicted. Hope that makes sense.

No, all of this is exceedingly interesting, and I have learned alot from these folks. Because the sun cycle isn't due to be at its maximum for another couple years, these things perhaps will worsen and then we'll know what's going on.....I didn't know anything about the sun, but thanks to these threads, know a little, as much as my pea-brain is capable of...still,,,,don't know how to read the charts, they're too complicated....

This was not supposed to be a doom event haha! But I promise, if I ever see one coming I will post it just that way. There will be no guessing about it. Instead of titling my post like "CME waves from January 19th M 3.2 LDE Solar Flare Arrive as expected."

It will read something like.."Massive CME unleashed from the sun directly Earth facing. This is it! Carrington Event in Progress! This is the big one! Take needed preperations NOW!"

Re: CME waves from January 19th M 3.2 LDE Solar Flare Arrive as expected.
Just after 19:00 UTC today the ACE Spacecraft began showing an increase in proton density, and a spike of 73.8 p/cc was measured at 19:23 UTC. This spike signaled the onset of a multi wave CME that was unleashed on January 19, 2012 during an M3.2 LDE flare that began at approximately 13:45 UTC from Sunspot Region 1402.

there were two solar flares that day and 2 cmes with them and we them both during my night while slept. Now to see if you got too excited. This are large but not huge. Thread: Nip's solar/quake thread for the proton counts.

I bet not one single cell had a problem and this was not expected by myself to be a doom event, but we shall see if it causes increase in quakes. Still visiting my regular sites, slept thru it all. Its done.

I was not impressed at that link provided to which I commented. granted I only read the front page. But my comment about the vapor barrier is quite correct. It is being put back up. Which is the why of the increasing noctilucent clouds.

This is NOT massive. Large but not massive, and not long duration either. A few months go we got one what way exceeded that. I watch the AE index because the satellites are close to earth that record that and it provides a look at how much GOT INSIDE the magnetosphere. It really doesn't otherwise define the storm.

One flare (LDE M3.2)that had a CME ejection with it on the 19th. That CME from Sunspot Region 1402, and a seperate filament lift off. This has been a very large CME as a matter of fact the largest of this Cycle. The reason that it has not caused more severe geomagnetic storming (so far) is because of the lack of consistent orientation. The BznT has held into the N for sustained periods of time. However, if you look at the Ao/Ae(nT) and the Al/Au(nT)you will indeed realize that this was and is a very large CME.

Not over excited here, just posting acurate information since the government can't. You can follow the progress of these events as they unfolded on our blog here...

most of the simulations are crap. at least 50% anyway. You don't completely know until it hits. but these were more north directed, and space conditions also always slow down the cmes, they never arrive at the same speed they left the sun.

READ EVERYTHING FIRST BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT!

He's a geologist for fuck's sake. He's the very same one that caused massive uproar over the age of Sphinx. If Chris Dunn of Giza Power recommends him, that's good enough because of Dunn's impressive research in Egypt pyramids and temples because of his engineering background. [link to www.gizapower.com]

How the heck are you able to cut very hard granite with such precise using primitive tools back in those days? You can't! You have to use specialized machining tools to be able to do that these days!

Obviously, something happened 8,000-12,000 years ago that wiped out advanced ancient civilization!

Yes something happened, the great flood which was caused by WAR. The vapor barrier was taken down, and we lost a lot of protection and thus the patterns changed. And there are lots of geologists not worth their salt. Just because testing shows something is millions of years old, for example, does not prove something happened millions of years ago. the earth can reform during a large sudden axis shift in a matter of hours and days. And most still feel this is the largest most modern civilization on this planet and its not. there have been 5 previous global civilizations technically more evolved than this one.
