The Myth
User ID: 568994 Canada 01/17/2012 05:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't be such a baby, it was -38C when I left for work this morning, you don't see me crying about it do you? Pro tip: If you have no heat, crank up your oven and leave the door open, your place will warm up....assuming you're not using electric heat, that is. if you use elcetric heat and have no way of heating the place, dress in layers and wrap up in a couple of blankets, you can always shed a layer if you get too hot until you cool down, then put it back on. Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8645425 Blankets over the windows may help. Do you have electric heating? Electric oven? turn on the tea pot and drink a warm drink. Layer yourself with clothing and blankets. My parents were always believers in sleeping in the cold, so they turned the heat off upstairs (Iowa/MN border) and it got pretty darned chilly in the winter. How cold do you estimate it is in the house/apartment? |

One of my relatives, who was very poor as a child, let the family's German Shepherds share a bed with her and her little sister. The dogs kept them very warm (and please, no bestiality comments) |
