Anonymous Coward User ID: 965043 United States 01/16/2012 05:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Several years back there were scientific reports that the amphibians were being killed off by some ultraviolet wavelengths. In texas up until the late 60's there were "horned frogs" all over the place. They were a texas institution like armadillos. I haven't seen any in 30 years. The ordinary frogs, bull frogs seem to be almost gone now. Up until the eary 80's there would be millions of birds flying around in huge groups in this part of texas this time of year. There are almost none at all now. Even the black birds and crows are dwindling. |

Cane toads are pretty tough, I can't imagine what could kill em. I wacked one with the flat side of a shovel once before I knew how tough. It flattened out and stuck out its tongue like it was dead and hopped away later... Another public service announcement from the Southern Hemisphere Information Leveraging Locus. |
