Attorney General said Australian Whaling activists would face consequences for their actions
Ms Roxon said the federal government was doing all it could to assist the men, who are being detained on the whaling escort vessel Shonan Maru II, but it was likely they would be dealt with under Japanese law.

"If people do take action - take the law into their own hands - the rules that apply are sometimes ones that you can't as a government change. There will be consequences and in this case it is very unlikely that Australian law will apply," Ms Roxon told ABC News 24.

The daring mission was aimed at forcing the vessel to stop tailing the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's anti-whaling flagship, the Steve Irwin.

"It disturbs me that the Attorney-General says it was outside Australian zone, Captain Watson told The Australian Online from the Steve Irwin, about 100 nautical miles south of Australia.

"Both vessels have GPS and I expect that she will be very embarrassed when the truth comes out."

"I think (Ms Roxon) is a coward, it is absolutely incredible she's not doing more to help these Australian citizens

Mr Abbott said the government should be doing everything it can to assist the detained trio.

“The standard duty of government is to help Australians in trouble overseas,” Mr Abbott said.

“I think it is important Australia does what it reasonably can to exercise its sovereignty and get these guys into protection as soon as possible.”

The men were in good health on the ship, said Glenn Inwood, a New Zealand-based spokesman for Japan's Institute for Cetacean Research, which runs the whaling fleet.

Mr Inwood said the men had risked being taken to Japan for trial, but there has been no comment yet from the government in Tokyo.

Mr Watson criticised the federal government's response to the crisis as "the bullshit politics of betrayal".

"Nicola Roxon has been quick to condemn these three brave men by saying they were detained by the Japanese in international waters and Australia would be powerless to stop them being taken back to Japan," Mr Watson said.

"Of course the only reason they boarded the Shonan Maru No.2 was because her government has refused to make good on their pre-election promise to get tough with the illegal Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary."

I have watched there show and my impression was that they are a very unprofessional and dis organized group with some big wigs with money backing them. Some of the people had no experience being on a boat or that type of an environment and they put the lives of others on there mission in jeopardy. I thought they where a joke.

I do not condone what the Japanese whalers are doing but it is within the law as far what has been proven. They are lucky that they have not been killed yet for the shit that they pull.

A warning to Japan...

You have seen the Tsunami and the devastation of your Fukushima.

You will release the Whaling Activists and you will cease whaling or you shall see Tokyo destroyed in similar manner.

Thus it is spoken; thus shall it be.

This is a hard one for me. When I visit Maui and see the beautiful whales, I want to see them protected and watch their numbers flourish.

On the other hand I know similar extremist groups exist here in the States and they want to ban ALL hunting.

I think the answer is in Gen Chapter one. God gave man dominion over all creation. To manage it, eat of it and take care of it.

Eskimos rely on whaling for survival. There shouldn't be any International law preventing them from doing so. Jap's should be limited on their whale harvest in accordance with maintaining and growing whale populations.

When they exceed those limits, they should be banned from ALL whaling for 5 years. Giving the whales a change to regrow their numbers while sending a strong message to those doing the harvesting.

Anyway, something along those lines.

Whalers deserve whatever hell befalls thems. I only hope it is even greater than Fuckusall Doom. For anyone here that has condoned their evil behavior I know that you will be dealt with accordingly, not by be or anyone I know but by power beyond your comprehension. I only hope it strikes a severe blow to where you too will feel the pain of the dying planet. Oh, that is harsh and you condoners of whale killers deserve to twist and squirm when your evil deeds come back and empale you.

scientific research to calculate and initiate the destruction of mankind is a cardinal sin

natives who require whales as a legitimate food source with limited to no alternatives are perfectly entitled to eat them. the whales are not butchered/tortured to death and the natives respect the whale

senseless killing and torture will no longer be tolerated by those with myriad alternatives of food sources

middle ground

Captain Paul Watson, serial liar and bullshit artists. Look him up.

"The Bob Barker went to Macquarie to throw the Yushin off, but it is persisting in its pursuit into Australian waters in violation of the 2008 Federal Court ruling prohibiting whaling vessels entering Australian territorial waters," Mr Watson said.

In the case brought by Humane Society International, the Federal Court issued an injunction restraining the Japanese government-owned company Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha from whaling in an Australian whale sanctuary.

Heya xen.

I'm back. I was banned for a month, by the way. But apparently my crime wasn't too bad and they have decided to let me back in the world of doom.
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
