My destiny lies primarily in the music notes emanating from whatever instrument I choose to play. How does the future look for music? An impending renaissance or a continued downward spiral of mediocrity in the mainstream designed to hide away the more talented acts of the indie scene? |

I had no idea of the Extent of this problem, the ability for it to cross species easily, and the huge coverup by USDA and the beef industry. I understand the coverup, but man we are kinda screwed now Thoughts make things. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7164450 yes an outbreak of some disease can kill a lot of people but trying to get gullible people to sign a petition by claiming your boyfriend is a time traveler is just retarded. Uhhh duh I said earlier the petition sounds kinda dumb because it's too little too late. I posted the link so y'all could start researching it on your own. I mean how impossible would it be to actually make the US do things like Europe does? Test every animal before it enters the food chain? The people with the petition are dreaming. I do appreciate them collecting info and news though. Thoughts make things. |

I was kinda surprised because it seems like a non-issue as are so many things with the media these days. Then I find that Alzheimer's patients had spongy brains after death at a way highr rate than you would think if it's a one in a million shot. There are many other shocking facts when you go down this rabbit hole. Anyways the boyfriend said it's already starting but it's not going to happen overnight. The American version of this disease has a long incubation rate, 20 years and more. Isn't this Alzheimer's epidemic interesting when considering it might not be just the aluminum ? User ID: 8391021 United Kingdom 01/07/2012 07:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yea so I went to school for molec bio and always wondered why the mad cows in Britain were buried versus incineration. You need about 1200 degrees farenheit to destroy prions (the cause of all the different brain encephalopathies). I thought to myself, they'll get into the plants and get passed to more animals. Quoting: Jalira So fast forward to now and I have this boyfriend who claims to be a time traveller and has told me all kinds of stuff about our future up until 2036. I believe him and one thing he has said several times was that mad cow disease was going to wipe out so many people and animals it would be as if a big asteroid hit the earth. Sorry I lack punctuation when I get excited, and not excited in a good way. He said it would be a huge deal and pretty much everyone is already infected. He said alcohol helps, LOL. And when we all get the chips in our head it will be a "cure" due to and electrical impulse that will keep it from crystallizing our brains. So I looked into it and man it's true! These things have only spread due to our dumbass global economy and the animal products used to make vaccines, etc. Check out www.mad-cow.org. And for latest news www.organicconsumers.org/madcow.cfm I said this ages ago on here i was laughed at by these assholes on here , but fact is , it fits the zombie bible thing perfectly ... cos bse is a dead organism , it is already dead and only fire can kill it .... the dead shall walk the earth ... thats all i got to say on this , and its spreading like wildfire , it will be one of the big plagues and there is no cure .. just a regular guy who like's to stay regular ..... Turbo lax for fast effective relief ... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7570540 United States 01/07/2012 07:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There's always been some mad cow disease in Britain - insignificant here in the states and it is watched very closely. Mad cow is isolated in the organ meat - not the muscle meat, so there's no threat when eating a steak. If I lived in Europe, I think I would probably not want to eat liver, brains, tongue, and heart meat, merely as a precaution. |

I have a greater chance of choking on that hot dog and dying. LOL! The chance of dying from variant CJD (associated with spongiform encephalopathy in cattle, or mad cow disease) in the UK is about 1 in 12 million in any one year. The chance of death from CJD of any cause (most cases aren't cattle related) in any one year is about 1 in 750,000. If I remember right, it's like 1 in 40,000,000 chance in the US. Not anything I'm going to lose sleep over, that's for sure. |

Most cow calf people would not have used these products anyway. The probabilities of mad cow being in the USA is extremely remote in my opinion. I am a rancher and am informed on these matters. Besides, what's the worry, once the nukes start flying all the cows will croak and you won't have to worry about it. In the meantime, I would fill your freezer full if I was you!!! deplorably republican |
