We all agree that when your life here on earth comes to an end you die. This is the first death, which we know as the physical death.

The Bible refers to a second death.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

This second death is the SPIRITUAL DEATH and this happens when your eternal soul is destroyed in the lake of fire.
I will come to this later.

God said to Adam and Eve that should they eat of the fruit, they will surely die. The serpent said to them that they will not die. Thus they ate the fruit. Although they ate the fruit they did not die physically, but they did die spiritually...i.e. they becsame mortal.

This is why Jesus/God had to come to earth. He came to earth to DIE, so that he could repair what happened during the fall and to repair our spiritual connection.

The bible says that when Jesus returns satan will be locked up for 1,000 years.
rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Furthermore the 144,000 elect will reign with Him for that 1,000 years.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The 144,000 takes part in THE FIRST RESSURECTION.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The 144,000 will comprise of 12,000 of each of the tribes of Israel. Israel today lives in the West.

Rev20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Above you can see that the second spiritual death will not be of relevance to the 144,000 elect that ressurected first. They are ALREADY saved.

After the 1,000 years satan will be set free.
Rev20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

This is when the battle of Gog and Magog happens.
Rev20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

When God will destroy them.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

THEN ONLY is the general judgement and resurrection.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

NOW LISTEN
REV 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.


And so it ends. Those of us that do not make the cut, will UNDERGO THE SECOND DEATH, WHERE OUR ETERNAL SPIRITS WILL BE DESTROYED.


Those that experience the second spiritual death will cease to exist for ALL ETERNITY.

Your whole reason for existing today, is because you are part of the creation process THAT FIRST STARTED WHEN GOD DECIDED TO CREATE MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE.

When God decided to create beings with free will. Your whole existance on earth is to give you the opportunity to exercise your free will, so that God can decide whether you deserve eternal life or not.

His whole creation process of free-willed man, will only be completed AFTER JUDGEMENT DAY.

Then he will look at the remnant, that made the cut and say to them:

"MY CREATION OF FREE WILLED MAN IS FINALLY COMPLETE, EVERYTHING ELSE JUST FORMED PART OF THE PROCESS OF YOUR CREATION"


















This will be a period where God teaches them.

Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me. Proverbs 1:28

Psalm 18:41 They cried for help, but there was none to save, Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them.

How sobering! They end up in your precious Hellfire, right?

Even amputees have "feelings" from limbs they no longer Have.
Doctors have theories of how this occurs, but possibly the Spirit still has limbs, and thus "feelings".
There are many unanswered questions in this world.
The important one is; Are you living for God or Satan?
There is no middle way. For or Against.

Regardless of the type, or nature of the punishment for refusing to follow God, it will exist.

you say their is no middle..but what if its not that simple to some? Maybe things are not so black and white to some, or maybe i don't see just left and right. up or down. etc..

That's odd, because I didn't come into the understanding of Christ's eventual redemption of all, recognizing the origins of hell as a pagan myth, until *after* I came face to face with my own churchy hypocrisy and began to learn real repentance and truly seeking God in humility. Before then, I was a living joke of a contradiction - a true know-it-all Christian asshole - and had no prollem somehow believing that the almighty God of Love (which never fails) would resort to burning some 90%+ of humanity in a monstrous incinerator like some 2-bit weasel who got in over His head and hadn't counted the cost. But once I started getting to know Him for myself, the pre-packaged bullshit pretty much evaporated. Go figure.

It's Their Way or eternal burning horror, because unlike the Lamb, they have no heart for regular, sincere people still traversing life's paths trying to make sense of it all. (And this is because they secretly don't trust the Father to be fair and merciful, but that's another thread altogether.)

Believers are a sad lot really. It is almost like they want people to go to hell just because they approached an old book and a story with scepticism.

That old book has been tampered with so many times by man that who knows what is true and what is not, and GOD will know that it has been tampered with.

GOD if he/she/it is omniscient knows what is in your heart.

I just can't accept that a loving GOD would create a place like hell.

I can't accept that GOD would want any of his creations to end up ther.

GOD being omniscient and the most intelligent being to ever exist will know why people were reticent to make the leap of faith based on really old writings of MAN!

In fact the way some Christians threaten hellfire and damnation on people I am sure they haven't actually read the book nor truly know GOD.

Christians too often think they have the right to speak on behalf of GOD but I suspect they don't.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

and when you put it with this - are many believers breaking the rules?

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Why do Christians think they have the right to threaten hell on people?

Jesus said

John 14:14 “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it”

Under this verse... Christians can ask GOD to get rid of hell and he will do it!

Good for you. It's not a problem to believe in different things. Men will interpret things differently. At least you have found your belief for yourself, not the pre-packaged belief that too many are indoctrinated with. I'm not a Christian, I don't affiliate with any religion, but that doesn't mean I can't respect those who do believe. It's your belief and yours alone. No need to condemn anyone else or shove it down people's throats. Be happy with your belief and offer your ideas to those who wish for you to share. Nothing wrong with that and glad to see you aren't that know-it-all type of dude anymore.
