Swamp fire still burning in New Orleans, HUGE wreck closes I 10 in both directions

A fatal multi-car accident has closed Interstate 10 in both directions at Michoud Boulevard in eastern New Orleans. At least one person died. Heavy fog has blanketed the area.

Bad pics of the pile up, the fire has been smoldering for months.. every morning has been really foggy on the lake and the smoke makes it really bad by the marsh

This had nothing to do with the state police. I drove in this morning and passed that area at exactly 3:35 a.m. There was alot of smoke and fog mixed and it only got worse after that i passed through. Some 15 minutes behind me said it was so bad he had to pull over and drive at 15 miles per hour. This happened last week around the same time and it almost took me off of the interstate. Please dont blame people when you dont have all of the facts. Any officer patrolling in the fog would not do anyone any good, it would put them in harms way. I hope we can all learn from this and use extra caution while driving.
