want proof of inflation????? Pick up a granola bar.
If you don't think there is any inflation, just pick up a granola bar.

The first thing you'll notice is that they're only about 60% of the size they were two years ago.

Try it, you'll see.

Then, check out the price. It's no different than it was - unless it's higher!

Also, another good way to see inflation is to look at the price of everything in general at the grocery store... coffee, milk, bread, etc..

Add Totino's pizzas to the list. You know, the little ones that cost $.90-1.00 about a year ago. They're $1.50-1.70 now.

lots of products have been downsized but are still priced at the same level or even higher.

look at how small the average sized carton of ice cream has become over the past many yrs. a few days ago I noticed a lower cost brand of chips is now being packaged in smaller bags.

Little Debbie's, cokes, cookies, ice cream...
these types of treats will be the first left
off the shopping list if food inflates to the
point only the necessities can be bought.

This is also when FOOD CO-OPS will take off.
You bring in food you have grown and trade/buy that which you need.

You can only inflate so far before people stop buying.

And you guys are listing products that use highly subsidized wheat soy and corn. Imagine my family's grocery bill. We are gluten intolerant and use a juicer to juice lots of fruits and vegetables. Grocery bill for 3 people for a week is about $140-$150. $560-$600 a month. That's with no frills, no junk food, just exactly what we need each week.

Eating truly healthy is a privilege of the well-to-do these days. There are scientific studies proving it.

Bought some popcorn from the boy scouts (at an increased price over previous years of course)

I always use the same bowl. In the past the bowl was just large enough to hold the popcorn so that it wouldn't spill over.

Just last night I popped the first bag. Didn't even fill the bowl half way. Now, I could easily fit two bags into the same bowl and not reach capacity.

Candy Bars went up to .69 cents a few years ago, and I thought that was high, then they went up to .99 cents, now they are 1.19, a 50 cent jump in a year or two.

It's weird how the illuminati price everything 6.99, or 9.99, or .69 cents.

I went into World Imports and I'd say 90% of the items has '999' in the pricetag, or rather '666', if you look at them upside down.
