After a week of red trading sessions the All Ordinaries are slumped and vulnerable.
6 straight day in the red and the Ords index came near to breaking the "magical" 4000 point mark.
Blue chips like BHP Billiton- Normally around the 40-41 dollar mark are getting hammered. BHP hovers around 34 dollars.
I'm bloody tempted... NAB and Westpac particularly juicy.
Any takers?

I'm working on the guns. The rectal exam is next month.
I agree with you, but jeez, if we're wrong I'm going to feel pretty stupid if Billiton gets that percentage back and I missed an easy target.

What are you expecting to gain percentage wise? The stock markets are a joke.If you adjust for inflation(the DOW)has lost money over the last 10 years. How is that an investment? At the same time gold and silver are up a few 100% over the same 10 years.

You can find places to purchase for 3% or less over spot. You can easily sell for 5% under spot.I do not see how it does not make sense. If your time frame is longer than a month any how....

From 1937 until 2010, the average inflation rate in Australia was 6.02 percent.

[link to www.tradingeconomics.com]

So take any fiat you gain from investments and realize you are losing on AVERAGE 6% of your initial investment every year.So a gain of 5%= a 1% loss on an average year in the Australian market.

Silver on the other hand is up over 15% in the last year in Australia.Up over 166% in the last 5. Up over 1000% in the last 30.

See my point?
