Take your poison, I'd rather have no need to be thankful. |

I have been saving clothes forever afraid to give them away because if everything collapses, at least I would have material with which to make things I and my family may need. Recently, I bagged up all of this old crap and was going to give it to Savers. Someone told me of a person that wanted to go through it all first, so I gave it to them. They told me that this woman went through this stuff and was so happy. She put back some of it for Christmas presents for her kids this year. I started crying, to think that what I considered garbage will be Christmas presents to some this year. I am so blessed. |

If you think it'd be a nice gesture to cry after the event, that's another scenario. User ID: 789642 United States 11/24/2011 09:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Happy Thanksgiving! It is right and good to give thanks.. My list seems to have grown smaller an smaller these past few years..But I am thankful for what I have been blessed with. my health, a roof over my head, my country, the food for today and though out this year, my family and the true friends I have in my life. Feels like it's gonna be a hard candy Christmas though. They claimed the last 'real' Christmas we had was in 2008.. I really beleive that now.. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 744051 United States 11/24/2011 09:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live week to week like most people in this country. I finally threw out 30 garbage bags full of old clothes because I have decided to have hope in spite of the world. I'm buying a house, which I have never attempted because I couldn't afford it when prices were overinflated. I consider myself as poor because I have no savings and live week to week. This reminded me, no matter how poor you are, there are always people much more poor than you. |

I am so grateful for my Honey, who even though he is not the biological father of my children, has raised them as an excellent father for the past 13 years. I am grateful for my children and grandchildren, and am looking forward to the birth of my 5th grandchild in mid January. I have 4 grandsons, and soon I will finally have a granddaughter !!! Have a BLESSED THANKSGIVING, everyone !!! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
