Hi there GLP'rs! My family just a signed a lease for a small portion of their land for natural gas drilling. I live on the Ohio/WV border and the Marcellus shale drilling has brought a little money to a very poor area. We have already lost too much though to raping corporations. We've not only lost our land, but our lives too, to the coal mining cos and steel mill's. I want to hear some "true" stories of people's personal experience's with this, I wanna know if we are soon to face more loss and hardship over trying to financially care for our families. RIP dad "95" mesothelioma from spending his life in a steel mill.
P.S. I'm not a big tree hugger, I believe in corporations rights, but I believe in personal rights more! I am just an average american who cares about her family and wants what is best for them...so please, no hippie crazy brain washing, just your stories. Thanks!
