Thanks for the double post, hater. There is absolutely nothing wrong with praying to Mary. Catholics don't worship Mary, they worship God/Jesus. It's just that sometimes they pray to Mary for intercession. Not really necessary, but it doesn't hurt. That's not worship.

I was a matron of honor in a Catholic wedding. A Great friend. Her sister was also in attendance for her. At the practice nothing was mentioned about communion. So when we were at the wedding and they served communion to only a certain few. Me not included because I was Methodist. Her sister was a devote Catholic all her life but her husband had a child with someone else. It took her FIVE years to divorce him yet she couldn't accept Jesus body n blood. I was flabbergasted. I went to Catholic ceremonies. And yes they are ceremonies when I was young. Never thought nothing about there religion. Never judged til that wedding. EVERYONE is welcome to accept Jesus. Esp. the sinful. He did hang out with the "Bad" people right? The fact they sprang it on us is not even right. Obviously I didn't ruin her day by objecting. But apparently if you aren't Catholic they think you are going to hell anyway if you cant take communion.

When you attend a lutheran or Methodist service, if you profess a belief in Jesus Christ--you are welcome to receive communion. You are not made to feel like an outsider.

When you attend a catholic mass, you are forbidden to receive communion. If you are asked to be a god-parent for a child and are not catholic, you are not allowed to be their god-parent in the catholic church, even though you are a christian.

At least with the Missouri syn you can ask to receive communion if you talk with the pastor before the service.

There is no reason why Mary would need to intercess for us. Jesus is the intercessor. At no point in time does Jesus say that anyone but Him is the intercessor. She may pray for us..but not intercess. Intercession is between Jesus and God the Father only. She is not in the Blessed Trinity.

The Catholic leaders are modern-day "Pharisees". As I recall, Jesus didn't have any nice things to say about them. I was raised Catholic...my mom is a very strict Catholic, but I do not practice it anymore. There are just too many things that the Catholic religion believes/teaches that I have issues with. I believe in God yes, and I do pray, but do I believe that I need to "go to confession" or I'll end up in hell if I sin? Nope. Do I believe that if a person is not baptized that he or she will have "original sin" on the soul and end up in hell? heck no!! You are NOT going to tell me that my god son, who died at 4 months from SIDS is "in hell" because he was not baptized. I mean really, between baptism and the "confession" thing, if you really think about it, if that is all really true, then I guess only Catholics go to heaven huh? I also do not believe that I have to be in a certain place (church) at a certain day/time in order to believe in God or to pray. I live my life as well as I can and am raising my children to be kind and respectful to other people.
