It might be one thing to do a job that needs to be done, even if it is unpleasant, but to mock and laugh at people struggling in this tough economy to hang onto their homes is quite another. I was really disturbed to see the heartlessness and lack of compassion these people displayed. Any of us could end up in this circumstance, if we suffered some bad luck in our life. Making fun of their suffering is unspeakably cruel. I hope they get their comeuppance. |

Its a sarcastic thought. I know, shame on me. But thinking a little more on it I have to wonder what kind of mind set actually makes fun of people in serious trouble, such as the homeless? Are they really just this callous? Or do they actually feed of the misery of others and thus making fun of that misery just feeds them more? And then I think a little bit more and my curiosity turns into a physical stomach turning as I wonder, is this how the whole industry actually things? Is the whole industry really filled with such people who can readily mock the homelessness that they have caused? Isn't this sort of like a rapist laughing as he looks down at the body he has just violated? I think I really want to puke. Instead, the process should be allowed to hit bottom, so the properties are nice and cheap and can be snapped up by investors, who can then rent them back out to the people who used to own them. The people at Baum are the very picture of the loss of humanity that is currently being espoused by the GOP. They jeer people who cannot afford health care and mock people who are losing their homes. Who would vote for such people??? |
