In modern America, itīs simply a day to have fun. Why must people make a big schpiel. Remember last year the Wiccans succeeded in cancelling all school Halloween celebrations in Puyallup, WA because they thought dressing up as witches was offensive? What is it with people??!! If you donīt think you should celebrate a holiday, your solution is very simple. Donīt celebrate. Stop ruining all the fun and joy in life for other people. </rant> |

User ID: 3139 Canada 10/11/2005 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hallowīen is a pagan celebration. (this does not necessarily mean Wiccan). Occult means hidden or unknown...and has nothing to do with so-called Satanism...which is basically saying the opposite of whatever Chriustianity says. In other words...you donīt have Satanism UNLESS you have Christianity. Pagans respect and care for our Home...our Planet...our UniverSe. As do the native and aboriginal peoples around the globe. Halloweīen is the New Year...after the harvest and the outside work is completed. It is an acknowledgement of a time when the Veil between the Worlds is at its thinnest; when the connection between the invisible and the visible worlds is at itīs strongest and closest. Thatīs where the idea of ghosts and scary things originated. People are AFRAID of the unknown, the hidden, the occult! Of death altogether! Stop being afraid!!! The UniverSe is full of LOVE! |

Methinks/feels pagan is neither ībadī or īgoodī, pagan is simply pagan. w/luv just me |
