work place legal question
Can a company require the employees to participate in a 'health fair' including comlete bloodwork that will be sent to a third party? This all done on site. And your personal Dr.results won't be accepted. Here's the kicker. If you don't comply they will take 25.00 a pay period. Isn't this forced compliance? Please excuse any grammar and misspellings. Posting from my Droid. Also at work. S I won't be able to reply until next break.
The youngster said angrily " If our founding Fathers could see what is going on, they would roll over in their graves!"
The Ol'Timer shook his head and smiled. " No, they would be grabbing their guns".

My company does it. Well, they structure it so that they give you that $25 per month if you do participate, but same result.

it's only legal if you comply. Do you have a union? is this for company insurance?

I guess it depends on how big the co. is, your position, and how much you like your job.

lol @ "HEPA" law

Yes they can do this, because they have given you a "choice". Sucks, doesn't it?
Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Re: work place legal question
Most companies give you an incentive to do these things (extra cash). It sounds like they're selling it as a "take away" which puts more pressure on the choice maker.

Probably depends on laws state-to-state. If I were you I would find a new job or a lawyer.
