Alarms going off in Texas City Plants....

There is someone on the speaker system at the BP Plant area in Texas City, talking and giving directions, but I can't make out what they're saying. The sounding of alarms isn't something that's standard. Anyone know anything?

Nothing there, must be too new. I hope it's nothing serious... like another chemical release. The only reason they would sound alarms like that I would think would be a chemical release, or explosion. No word on an explosion, nothing on the RSOE EDIS, not yet.

Can you hear them? Nothing like refreshing benzene for a nightcap! Geeze. With all the terror alerts they've been talking about all week, this does not seem good. I believe they lost power as well, earlier this week. I'm looking at everything and finding nothing!

The alarms have stopped sounding, never could make out what the voice was saying in between the alarm. They wouldn't sound it for nothing. Absolutely no news anywhere about anything. Guess we'll all know ..... whenever they decide to tell us. I guess that means they fixed their alams that failed to sound in the explosion that killed all those people a few years back.

Did some searching real quick...nothing found for current news about Texas City Texas nor the BP plants located there.

Yeah, me too. They rarely sound the alarms, even when there is an explosion, lol. So the fact that they were sounded and our nation is on such a high terror alert just makes me a little nervous. After all they've done at bp, then their announcement this year that they're selling the plant, well... put two and two together, and you still get two! ;)) I'll post any new information I have, I hope my fellow GLP'ers will do the same. Always found my information here first, we must be slackin!

It took them nearly 11 months to release the information about their benzene leak, and it was huge, so who knows what's going to be behind this. Scary thing is that it's invisible, gas, so what do you do??? lol, nothing but wait.

close, but not in immediate danger, but I do have very close interests there, a business there, and no, there are no other reports that I can find, which seems unbelievable. Half the city heard it I'm sure, very eerie.

mmm, I could but would rather not... for obvious reasons. They detained the reporter that was taking pics of the plant for hours, for only taking pics. They're very defensive of that plant locally... it's the money cow, and much more important than the citizens.
