Stalin Kill 100,000,000 is one of the outrageous nonsense myth. During all soviet era the system kill less than 1,000,000 in Gulags and many of them die by bad conditions no killed. This study was made by west historians. Mao Kill more but allawys well bellow this 100,000,000. Stalin transformed a mediaval and desunited Country (Russia) in to a power in many areas, and they were the first on Space and many other achivements. If comunism is made by good people is a system far away better tnha Corporativis/Capitalism/Fachism. |

But politics got in the way and it turned into a meat grinder. Instead of taking the fight to Hanoi, we fought a guerilla campaign in the south against a tough and determined enemy, heavily financed and armed by the Soviets. How deep is it in your belief systems and your whole political/sociological-selves to be capitalist. I have honestly thought capitalism and communism as a other ends of the spectrum is but a remain of the cold war. But obviously individualism and capitalism is the way for most americans still? So is there is room thinking maybe the capitalism isnt right? Maybe instead of thinking only oneselves (individualism), people should be obligated to take care of the community they live in. Basically both embracing individual rights and freedoms, but also be obligated to give everyone else the same rights, and taking care of the community aswell. (communitarism). Im just trying to learn about the american socioculture here. I find it amusing how the cold-war propaganda against communism still lives brightly in each of you. [link to en.wikipedia.org] just a little something to read if you people think you know what communism is, and where it originates from. Most people are taught to believe communism is a bad thing, without even knowing what it really is. <3 hrhr ;p |

When you assume that each individual is obligated to every other individual, and you force that obligation with the violence of the State, INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS cease to exist! Voluntary association, allright. how can you make sure everyone associates with the community? isnt it unfair some people only pay their part for the society. Dont understand me wrong, im all out for individual humanistic rights. Its just that these things always conflict with one another, individual<->community, single person<->society. it seems you can never please both at the same time. But yea good point, ethics. Ofcourse it is immoral to obligate someone to take care of the community they live in. Yet still we have neighborhood watches and similar events where people are passively expected to participate if they are a part of a community. Charity events so on. One would think Desperate Housewives gives good examples on this. Last Edited by Zan on 10/11/2011 12:22 PM <3 hrhr ;p |

Not as unfair as being forced, at gunpoint, to participate in an activity you don't want to participate in.
