Well, I'm constantly wavering between believing that we're free... haha... and wondering what a fine line our freedom rides on. Sometimes I think I let my mind get away with me, then I think about how naive I must really be.
I'm not sure how I feel about the latest quotation I read from a report NASA published about a NEO game, with an end game scenario, and one team had only hours to stop the object, or change it's path, and one team had several years. It pretty much answered my questions on whether or not they'd tell us it was coming.
According to this report, they figure we might know about it before the President. The go on to stress the need for a single authoritive voice. At what cost I wonder? Funny it was last updated today ... lol. I wonder is that date right?
The following was a quote from the paragraph... can I link NASA reports without being banned ;)
"Given the concern of what the public might know before it even gets to leadership, there needs to be a plan to put forward a single authoritative voice backed up with tools that clearly present information to support state and local authorities and reduce the chance of panic and counterproductive movement."

strange...
The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal. Because any moment might be our last. Everything’s more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again. - Achilles
