What everyone needs to understand is it is the minority ruining it for the majority.

we have it with the police, we have it in the army, in politics (scratch politics it is the majority with them) in the social service's it is rife in most governmental institutions but why is it that the minority are able to have such a profound effect on the majority.

I would have to disagree, just take a look at that cop cs gassing the women on the wall street protests and then look at his colleges, they were disgusted you could see it on their face's.

It is only fear that is keeping the good ones in line, fear of losing their jobs, not being able to feed their family's etc.

I have had a lot of run ins with the old bill and generally they are good guys but you will always get a dick head in the bunch and as per their training they will back each other up in front of the public.

well that is just from my perspective and experience from UK old bill.

I said majority, not all. And the majority of Americans are fat. Even if they want to call some "pleasantly plump". What I mean is not pull their gun, no, but get down and help the people he sprayed. A good person would help people in pain for no reason. A good person doesn't care what others think of their good deed. A good person does not care about their job and "programming". A good person helps others period.

I agree with the above and the fat thing was a joke to try and lighten the mood a little.

I just think they should not all be tarred with the same brush.

Maybe they did help we only know what we have been shown on a 5/10 minute clip, but again maybe that is my optimistic attitude.

I don't think its only a few. I would guess that depends on the jurisdiction, but a cop is a cop. Certain types of people beome cops. Not many of them for the reasons we would like to believe.

THIS IS NOT A REFLECTION OF ALL BUT.....

I went to high school with this kid named Dave. He had anger issues, and because he was a little short he tried to act tough. His shortness was in his head, no one else cared, or would have noticed had he not bitched about it. We are talking 5'8 so fairly normal for a guy.

He was almost retarded in the way he thought and just over all had issues. His father use to beat him as well, which I am sure contributed.

He joined the Army and is now a cop. I would never want to be pulled over by him, except at least I have the option to say "Oh hey Dave." and I was nice to him in school.

The G20 comes to Chicago in March, there will be alot of interesting events then.
