What Was It?
I hesitated to report this because I have no cell phone with which to take pictures. I decided to go ahead and describe what I saw, in case someone else also saw it.

I, like many other people, was sitting outside last Friday night to watch for the falling sat. (I live in rural Texas, just east of I-45 and near Madisonville) I don't see much ambient light where I live and the sky was very clear. Around 10:30pm cdt, I observed an unusual craft flying over. I watched through my binoculars as it flew a S-to-N path at a slower-than-normal speed [and lower altitude] for a commercial, or military, jet.

The aircraft was unusual because of its "huge" wingspan. My best estimate is 5x the width of a 747. The wing lights were not blinking red/green. There was only an amber light on the tip of each wing - and 1 red light halfway between them , but lower. Its speed and course did not vary as it passed from my view.

Perhaps someone will read this account and tell me what aircraft I saw.

As far as I know there never was an aircraft built that has a wingspan of 5 times that of a 747.
So what you saw was a UFO.
Looks like they are still working out how to mimic an Earth aircraft.

Re: What Was It?
I've got no other explanation. I've seen the ISS at night and this was definately NOT the space station.

I've watched some UFO vids, so I wasn't expecting something that looked so 'straight and not bouncing around'.
