eh. Things work faster when they are decentralized...to a point.

Besides...you should start the thread. I don't want to look like I'm trying to pimp out the wind to all you ladies.

I'd like to avoid further debris and bugs. ;)

Been thinking about this decentralized thing....you got more to share?

Btw, I just realized we are discussing this in another thread, LOL!

Re: Spiritual Preparedness - simple practices and meditations to increase self-awareness
Question for the women on this thread:

Have you ever heard of the concept of listening to the wind? It has been said that every woman has a direction, and when the wind flows from that direction the spiritual odds shift to her favor. The womb of the woman catches the intent of the wind and aligns her with the spirit.

This is her moment of opportunity. She can accomplish the unthinkable when the wind blows in her favor.

What do you ladies think about this?
 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

This really caught my attention because I feel the wind is my best friend. I never shared this with anyone before but it's true.

And this summer, when it was so hot here (we had about a month of drought), I had a cool, little breeze when I walked. This happened even though the wind wasn't blowing the leaves on trees, etc. I didn't really know what to think of it except it made me feel special.

So, I"ll pay attention about the direction of the wind from now on. Thanks for bringing it to my attention so I can focus on it.

Btw, I've run across your posts in other threads and I know how you find your power places and use them so again, thank you for this tip.
 Quoting: Unit3

You and Qarley have this in common. I suspect it is a common theme you spiritually awake ladies could talk about and share your experiences with.

I sense a quickening coming on with the women on the board.
 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

What do you mean in common? Btw, I've just connected with her so heh, I'm liking this.

Thanks for sharing about the quickening.

Well it mostly applies to social structures. Like a viral video.

You put it out there in a few places and it spreads quickly.

If everyone had to go to a central thread then the info would take longer to spread.

For better results...I should spread my question directed to you ladies about the wind on several websites, forums, etc.

But I think I've made enough waves already...for now.
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

By in common I mean that you both have had similar experiences with the wind. You both like it. You both feel empowered by it.

Okay, thanks.

First, I believe you're telling me how I can become more empowered by the wind? Is this correct?

If I can determine the direction the wind blows when I feel the most empowered? And what's meant by we can do the impossible...not sure how you worded it right now. I looked it up, you said the unthinkable. As you can imagine, I'd like to hear more.

Second, would you enter the discussion on this thread:

Btw, I expect Q to swing back by. She is real good at keeping up with her posts. I don't know how the hell she does it. Any tips for me Q, on how to keep up with my posts?

Seriously, how do you do it? Open each thread in a tab or something? Keep going back and re-freshing?

Yes. But I can't say for sure because the interaction with the wind is something that women have over men.

As it was described in Carlos Castaneda's 'The Second Ring of Power', all I can offer is my best understanding of what was described and how I interpreted it.

I don't know if 'empowered' is the most adequate word to describe it. It is more like the wind has the ability to align the intent of the woman with the intent of the spirit.

Women are naturally superior stalkers. They are forced to learn the concepts of the art of stalking because they are women...born into a world where they aren't as physically strong as the other gender of the species.

They aren't effective when they push themselves to the front. They have to work behind the scenes to get what they want out of life. They have to find a way to maneuver others into placing them in the role of a director.

The wind gives them the moment of opportunity to choose their battle.

The art of stalking is the following (from Castaneda's Wheel of time):

“The art of stalking is a set of procedures and principles that enables a warrior to get the best out of any conceivable situation.”

“The first principle of the art of stalking is that warriors choose their battleground. A warrior never goes into battle without knowing what the surroundings are.”

“To disregard everything that is unnecessary is the second principle of the art of stalking. A warrior doesn’t complicate things. He aims at being simple. He applies all the concentration he has to decide whether or not to enter into battle, for any battle is a battle for his life. This is the third principle of the art of stalking. A warrior must be willing and ready to make his last stand here and now. But not in a helter-skelter way.”

“A warrior relaxes and abandons himself; he fears nothing. Only then will the powers that guide human beings open the road for a warrior and aid him. Only then. That is the fourth principle of the art of stalking.”

“When faced with odds that cannot be dealt with, warriors retreat for a moment. They let their mind meander. They occupy their time with something else. Anything would do. That is the fifth principle of the art of stalking.”

“Warriors compress time; that is the sixth principle of the art of stalking. Even an instant counts. In a battle for your life, a second is an eternity, an eternity that may decide the outcome. Warriors aim at succeeding, therefore they compress time. Warriors don’t waste an instant.”

“In order to apply the seventh principle of the art of stalking, one has to apply the other six: a stalker never pushes himself to the front. He is always looking on from behind the scenes.”

“Applying these principles brings about three results. The first is that stalkers never take themselves seriously; they learn to laugh at themselves. If they are not afraid of being a fool, they can fool anyone. The second is that stalkers learn to have endless patience. Stalkers are never in a hurry; they never fret. And the third is that stalkers learn to have an endless capacity to improvise.”

I so resonate with this, esp. the bolded parts. I am taking my retreat right now, in fact.

This answers my question about whether I should start a thread or not. This is what we are discussing in the link I asked you to visit. Which, now that I have this information, my question is answered.

Wow! Thanks for sharing this. What a blessing you are.

Re: Spiritual Preparedness - simple practices and meditations to increase self-awareness
It fits in with the wind because when the wind blows from a certain direction the opportunity exists for any act carried out to produce spiritual intent. When one acts without expecting a result one finds the results give a feedback that carries with it useful information.

Spiritual growth.

You probably take your walk at a specific time of day most of the time. A woman has a specific time of day when her spiritual intent is at its peak. The wind most likely often blows in a certain direction during that time.

This is the time to stalk knowledge. This is the battleground to be chosen.

Treat this time as your last battle...don't expect any rewards or any particular outcome.

In this way you will become aligned with the path with most heart.

And no need to thank me. This was supposed to happen. Thank the spirit.

“The spirit listens only when the speaker speaks in gestures. And gestures do not mean signs or body movements, but acts of true abandon, acts of largess, of humor. As a gesture for the spirit, warriors bring out the best of themselves and silently offer it to the abstract.”

And you're most certainly welcome.

“Anything is one of a million paths. Therefore, a warrior must always keep in mind that a path is only a path; if he feels that he should not follow it, he must not stay with it under any circumstances. His decision to keep on that path or to leave it must be free of fear or ambition. He must look at every path closely and deliberately. There is a question that a warrior has to ask, mandatorily: Does this path have a heart?

All paths are the same, they lead to nowhere. However, a path without a heart is never enjoyable. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy- it does not make a warrior work at liking it; it makes for a joyful journey; as long as a man follows it, he is one with it.”

“A warrior, as a teacher, must first of all teach about the possibility of acting without believing, without expecting rewards – acting just for the hell of it. His success as a teacher depends on how well and how harmoniously he guides his wards in this specific respect.”

“The trump card of the warrior is that he believes without believing. But obviously a warrior can’t just say he believes and let it go at that. That would be too easy. To just believe without any exertion would exonerate him from examining his situation. A warrior, whenever he has to involve himself with believing, does it as a choice. A warrior doesn’t believe, a warrior has to believe.”

“Death is the indispensable ingredient in having to believe. Without the awareness of death, everything is ordinary, trivial. It is only because death is stalking him that a warrior has to believe that the world is an unfathomable mystery. Having to believe in such a fashion is the warrior’s expression of his innermost predilection.”

"Acting just for the hell of it"......I like it.

"A warrior doesn't believe, he has to believe." Oh yes.

I've deliberately faced death many times, just because I had to face it. Sick of that thing tracking me, ya know?

But, this last paragraph, I feel there is more for me to glean from it. I'm going to go ahead and post this, but I probably need to go for a walk to think on it.

And you were right in an earlier post, I do have certain times of the day I take my walks. However, tonight, I'm making an exception and heading out.

I'll stick around a bit though, and see if you post again.

I like the way you think.

Mix it up and see if you get the same sensation when you walk at different times of the day.

Change your routines.

“To be a warrior-hunter is not just to trap game. A warrior-hunter does not catch game because he sets his traps, or because he knows the routines of his prey, but because he himself has no routines. This is his advantage. He is not at all like the animals he is after, fixed by heavy routines and predictable quirks; he is free, fluid, unpredictable.”

This is his advantage. He is not at all like the animals he is after, fixed by heavy routines and predictable quirks; he is free, fluid, unpredictable.”

Ohhhhh, love it. Will add that to my thoughts as I walk tonight.

Btw, what happened with Sloane earlier? If you feel to share, that is.

I have another question though. Earlier, you said it's better to not be centralized to a point. Can you say more about this point?

I like the way you think.

Mix it up and see if you get the same sensation when you walk at different times of the day.

Change your routines.

She expressed a level of interest in the wind with almost identical feelings about it.

That's you, Q, and her. All expressing the same sort of sensations about the wind.

I see a pattern forming here...

Re: Spiritual Preparedness - simple practices and meditations to increase self-awareness
hmm. I think I said decentralized to a point.

But what you said is more revealing and much more pertinent to the discussion of self and self-awareness.

I was talking about social structures.

You revealed something about the nature of yourself that you may not consciously realize.

Indeed, it is MUCH MUCH better to not hold on to a single perception of what your senses describe to you about the world that surrounds you.

“The internal dialogue is what grounds people to the daily world. The world is such and such and so and so, only because we talk to ourselves about its being such and such and so and so. The passageway into the world of shamans opens up after the warrior has learned to shut off his internal dialogue.”

“To change our idea of the world is the crux of shamanism. And stopping the internal dialogue is the only way to accomplish it.”

Listening to the wind gives you the ability to change the perception of the world and of yourself.

“The flaw with words is that they always make us feel enlightened, but when we turn around to face the world they always fail us and we end up facing the world as we always have, without enlightenment. For this reason, a warrior seeks to act rather than to talk, and to this effect, he gets a new description of the world – a new description where talking is not that important, and where new acts have new reflections.”

Yes, you did use the word decentralized. And I was asking about it in the social construct with my word, centalized.

I got a much richer lesson though. I resonate with the bolded part. New acts have new reflections....thinking on this right now.

I think I confused myself. Yes...I said decentralization to a point and I was talking about social structures.

But the idea has a double meaning and can be applied to self. So the other meaning is encompassing the point of perception...the assemblage point...the point where our five senses assemble the world we perceive.

Perception and awareness are part of the same unit...two sides of the same coin. Perception is flawed...it is just a description of the world, not the world itself. Whereas, awareness isn't flawed. Awareness is impeccable.

It is possible to strengthen one's awareness through the actions one takes to correct the flaw of perception. Intent plays a critical role in this. Intent is perception's connecting link with awareness. Or rather, intent is awareness's connecting link with perception.

“Intent is not a thought, or an object, or a wish. Intent is what can make a man succeed when his thoughts tell him he is defeated. It operates in spite of a warrior’s indulgence. Intent is what makes him invulnerable. Intent is what sends a shaman through a wall, through space, to infinity.”

“The spirit of a warrior is not geared to indulging and complaining, nor is it geared to winning or losing. The spirit of a warrior is geared only to struggle, and every struggle is a warrior’s last battle on earth. Thus the outcome matters very little to him. In his last battle on earth a warrior lets his spirit flow free and clear. And as he wages his battle, knowing that his intent is impeccable, a warrior laughs and laughs.”
