Think you're entitled to something? Well piss off. You want something, do it the old fashioned way and work for it. I've had it with people thinking everyone should be given things and blaming the rich. HELLO! Most of them worked their butts off to get where they are in life. Not to mention the fact that they employ most of the country. Why should they have to give it all away to self righteous lazy pseudo-humans?

News Flash, if you really want to be wealthy, then do something about it. You can do anything you set your mind to. The only thing holding you back is YOU. Don't wait for a handout unless you want life to backhand you. I don't care who you are or what your age is. There is always a way to make legal money if you are of sound mind and body.

Example: 70 year old woman with a clear mind in good health. Stop bitching about your fixed income from SSI. How many grandma's do you know that can't knit or crochet? So make some hats, or gloves, or even potholders. Then sell them on the internet. The point is, do something! Stop complaining about how hard it is and use that time to better yourself and your situation.

No one owes you a damn thing.

And for the record, I used to work in sales. Made good money. Got laid off, and for the past three years I've been pumping gas and washing windshields at a full service gas station for $7.80 an hour for the past 3 years. But I also use my talents to fix cars and computers on the side.I learned real quick to cut back on the excess and save what I can.

Side note, if you want all of your car's windows washed, go to the damn car wash!

I understand enough to know that it's working out ok for me. Why can't it be the same for anyone who tries?

Basically, I agree, OP.

Problem is that there are not that many 70 yo's with really good health who are also mentally alert, unfortunately.

But I do think those who are and can should contribute as should everyone living in the system.

Got any good knitting patterns?

One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy

James 5
1 COME NOW, you rich, weep and howl over your miseries which will come upon you.
2 Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and silver are rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you, and will devour your flesh as fire does. You have laid up treasure in the last days.
4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who reaped your fields, which have been kept back by you unjustly, cry out; and their cry has entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
5 You have feasted upon earth, and you have nourished your hearts on dissipation in the day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned and put to death the just, and he did not resist you.

7 Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient until it receives the early and the late rain.
8 Do you also be patient; strengthen your hearts; for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

Re: Sick of people thinking they're entitled to other peoples loot? So am I!
Well OP as another pointed out you may be engaged in a bit of hypocrisy.

The lager truth is almost none of us are either "producer or consumer" rather on some point in that continuum. I do agree though that one ought to aim to the producer side of that spectrum.

The productive value and the appreciation of it are rapidly diminishing from our world.

This struggle is more than people wanting your "loot" friend. This is a primitive, real, and eternal struggle.

When the Goths took Rome I'm sure there were plenty of Romans angry about their losses. I'd bet the Goths felt pretty entitled to that loot though seeing the treatment they endured at their old master's hand.

Finally I'd say I don't feel bad one bit for you or the other sobbing about their loss. Your on this site you must be semi-awake. You should know nothing happens to you without your consent.

Sure they may or may not react, you are still the master of yourself and responsible for what happens. They may tell you that there are no or limited options; you should know this is a lie.

WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT TO BE EXPLOITED

Sorry but your wrong ...but funnily I can't be bothered to explain that the whole system is onesided and always has been in most of our prentend societies, because actually it really doesn't matter, nor will it make any difference. So just keep on following your delusional man made hierarchies and work ethic bullshit...and I'll follow mine...which is equally unimportant in the bigger scheme of things.

Just wait until the economy really goes..then maybe we'll talk again.

Lol,s I was trying to get off welfare and got a job at a corporation.

They put me on a gang stalking list. Ruined my life. I think the worst thing i ever did was try. In fact the more I tried the more i was sabotaged.

But i can only blame myself for getting a job. If i hadn't of done this i would still have some quality of life/hope left.

I can't believe you would WILLINGLY encourage people to
give up social security.

Yes, I am sure that 70 year old grandma is going to make
enough selling crocheted hats to pay her rent!

Would you people please do the math?!?!?!

NOBODY is hiring 70 year olds anymore!!
OK??

You guys are destroying America!

How will these people live?

They cannot find enough people to buy their little
gizmos that they make.

In my opinion, you are all living in a FANTASY WORLD!!!

You're full of shit, o.p. Society exists to serve the people, not the other way around. Oh, and thanks for the food stamps.
