Would Jesus Get Bad Karma?
Please read the TRUE experiment below!
(Yes, my husband actually does this!)

Contrary to popular belief Jesus was NOT a touchy-feely, "let's all have a big collective hug" type of guy.

There are a myriad of scriptural references which demonstrate that His teaching were taken by many to be insulting, offensive, condescending and restrictive.

He taught in this fashion in order to WAKE PEOPLE UP!

I ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT IF CHRIST HIMSELF WERE TO POST ON SOME OF THESE WEBSITES (AND NO BODY KNEW THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY HIM) HE WOULD RECEIVE HORRIBLE KARMA FOR SUCH BOLD TRUTH TELLING !!!! SERIOUSLY !!!

But once folks KNEW who it was they would all be saying "Yeah, right on Lord!" "I'm with you Jesus" "Sorry I gave You the bad karma Lord...I really knew all along that it was You so I only did it as an experiment to see if others would follow my bad example, Love you Jesus!"

My husband actually DID the exact same experiment in his teaching classes on several occasions.

What he would do is listen to or read the books of the greatest, most well known, most world wide popular TV preachers on earth and wait for something that they would preach that would seem really bizarre or un-scriptural or a doctrine that just seemed outright insane!

He would then take the exact teaching to his class of Christians only to be mocked, scorned, interrogated, questioned and booed. ONLY THEN would he show the clip (or portion of the book) and reveal that this teaching was taken word for word from the world famous Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyers. Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Ernest Angley, John Bevere, Markus Bishop, Juanita Bynum, Morris Cerullo, Kim Clement, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis, Kenneth Hagin, Marilyn Hickey, Rodney Howard-Browne, Larry Huch, T.D. Jakes, Bishop Eddie L. Long, Clarence McClendon, Myles Munroe, Steve Munsey, Mike Murdock,Rod Parsley, Fred Price, Oral Roberts, R.W. Shambach, Karl Strader, Paula White, Ed Young...just to name a few.

As soon as the class realized that the teaching was "anointed" by a "famous Christian" they ALL...AND I MEAN EVERY ONE OF THEM... immediately backpedaled and changed their criticism of my husbands teaching and then WHOLLY ACCEPTED what he had taught !!!

He would then go onto tell them his famous "Bus Stop" story as written in his book, as a lesson.

"Once there were three strangers who waited at a bus stop together. The bus was running late so one of the men (the one in the middle) wished to know what time it was. The stranger to his right wore a turban and a Kurta. When asked what time it was the turban wearer replied “It’s one o’clock” The man then asked for the time from the stranger on his left, who wore a suit and tie. “It’s one o’clock” the suit wearer answered. The inquiring man believed one stranger but not the other."

The Ugly Box

"Truth delivered in a disfigured box (somebody NOT famous or well known, fat, not well dressed, not a polished speaker...etc) is still Truth. It is a sad fact however, that the majority of religious and so-called “spiritual” individuals will never recognize it, as they do not have the ability to see past the container. This is like throwing away a priceless 5 carat diamond simply because it was delivered in rumpled paper bag."

This is a sad reflection of the mainline human condition in all arenas of life!

I would be very surprised if you even have the capacity for "thought". Probably from the inbreeding.

Re: Would Jesus Get Bad Karma?
Yes, obviously, Jesus would get "bad GLP karma", because most GLPers are anti-Christ and the few that do identify as 'christian' are mostly the touchy-feely variety.

That list of preachers was a doozy. Jesus would have had a field day with their money-grubbing.

While we're on the subject, this karma thing has destroyed GLP. I don't bother checking out GLP much anymore. People have been stifled; mob mentality rules here. Reminds me of junior high school, everyone trying to fit in and be popular/accepted. Major ick/yuck factor. Barely a thread gets posted without someone coming on and saying "oh, you deserve a karma point just for being you", or some such tripe.

Hate GLP karma points. Bad idea; ruined the free spirit of this place. Too much control being exerted on what's being shared. People don't say what they mean anymore; always looking over their shoulder and considering the karma consequences.

I'm not one to use expletives in print, but consider one typed here in relation to GLP karma.

As for Jesus -- never before or after did a better human live.

You posted this at 12:30 - after midnight, on a Sunday, and are wondering why no one is answering? Aside from that, there were several names that you mentioned that have very flawed teachings. Be wary!

What does any of that have to do with the TRUTH of the original inquiry or of the experiment mentioned?

The Two Swimmers

There were two sole survivors of a shipwreck who were paddling about 2 miles into shore. The first of them said to the other "I am very well versed in rare marine biology...let's discuss it" to which the other replied "No, thank you. I only know one thing"
A bit annoyed the first swimmer then stated "Well I am an expert on the subject of water currents and other oceanographic facts." The other swimmer replied "I only know one thing"
Now the first swimmer said "Have I mentioned that I am the foremost expert on sea faring vessels and maritime litigation?" "I only know one thing" said the other.
As they were just a few feet from land a huge wave overcame both swimmers. The first swimmer started splashing and flailing about as he almost drowned. The other swimmer grabbed his talkative friend and pulled them both safely into shore.
"What is the one thing that you know?" sputtered the first swimmer. As he walked away the other one said "I know how to swim."

So...at least from a few folks the consensus is that because Jesus told the TRUTH very boldly and without holding back Jesus would have been banned from GLP and received really bad karma points.

Sad.

I don't think he believes that they are correct.

It's done as an experiment.

But thanks for your input.

Interesting response and thanks for the flower.

But as you bolded above- the students "wholly accepted" what was taught.

Did your husband eventually retract what he 'taught' and identify it as false teaching?

Hi DSS... oh yeah...he retracted those things.

It was simply to show how people have a very limited capacity to think for themselves and how fervently they will accept the views of the so-called "experts"

He teaches Transpersonal Psychology which often brings Spiritual insights into the mix.

Have a GREAT day !!!

No doubt about it, the christian types around here would be all up in arms thinking the poster was some schmuck arse. Problem being that mainstream versions of that religion generally come from what amounts to Constantine's NWO empire and it's imposition of their notion of a "unified religion" - possibly to make it easier to control the masses heh.

In other words Christians would likely not reconize jesus's message if it was spat in their face by jesus himself
