I has a mini Swiss army knife on my key ring for years, until a policeman saw it and suggested that in the wrong circumstances, it could land me in trouble. Mind you, in the wrong circumstances, knitting needles could land you in trouble, so I suppose you just have to assess risk versus benefit! |

I've never heard of a "nanoSTRIKER Ultra-portable Ferrocerium Fire Starter" before, but I want one! here is something to go along with it...Not necessarily for the pocket...get a 35mm film canister, some cotton balls and a little Vaseline...combine the cotton balls with the vas...and store in the canister....combined with a "Fire Strike" or matches for that matter....makes one hell of a fire starter |

Quoting: Cathy C I just took a Concealed Carry Permit class and the instructor told us to never try to maim a person who has broken into your house. You could just piss them off more, and you open yourself up to civil lawsuits. The instructor, a lifelong police officer and FBI agent, said "shoot to kill" if you have any fear of being killed. "Empty your gun!" Of course, it's different in the UK... It's gettin' crazy over here, in the US! I'll shoot to kill anyone who comes in my house and I am afraid for my life... That sounds awful, I know, but if it's him or me...I'll choose to live. That's just my own opinion...I don't need to sell it to you or anyone else. We all need to make our own decisions in life, despite what our "leaders" think. |
