first of all it was a 6.4 and that is not uncommon. it was 2 days out. the dates here [ link to alamongordo.com] show little correlation to expected or real natural phenomenon. 6.4 might not be huge, but its the biggest one I've ever had in my life here in BC, out of place atleast.
