There is no confirmation of a heavy presence of SpetsNaz in Libya. But there in the capacity of mercs. NATO has run over 1000 bombing and missile missions inside Sirte in the last three days, and every time NATO sends in a rebel recon team they don't return according to the article. This war in Sirte is going to turn into Stalingrad.

I'm requoting part of the thread at the top of the page. Colnel Korenev is fighting with the 38th Battallion of Libya that is run by Colnel Gaddafi's son, Saif. It is very rare that a SpetsNaz officer would identify himself publicly while on assignment.
This admission is a subtextual request for help from all SpetsNaz to come to Sirte to aid Colnel Korenv who is probably running the CNC for Sirte. (Command and Control Center)
SpetsNaz have been training elite units in the Libyan army since 1989. Also North Korean UDT spec ops and Chinese spec ops have been training elite libyan units inside Battalion 38. The emphasis is on asymmetrical warfare.
Obviously the training has paid off. British SAS, U.A.E. and Qatari special forces are unable to EVEN ENTER THE CITY, due to stiff resistence put up by SpetsNaz enlisted and officer corps, Chechen muslim commandos, Battalion 38 of Libya and of course hundreds of suicide bombers.

Saif al-Islam, Gadaffi's son embarrasses rebels yet again, counters constant opposition disinformation

In another embarrassing moment for the “victorious” rebels, who the mainstream media pretends has already won and conquered Libya in the name of the non-democratic, unaccountable al Qaeda-affiliated National Transitional Council, Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi revealed that his father was not cornered.

I have previously shown how the rebels have absolutely no problem manufacturing lies from whole cloth and in doing so, mislead the entirety of the international community.

Even mainstream media outlets like the New York Times were being forced to cover this in order to save face among their support of the opposition deceivers.

The article does not say SpetsNaz is fighting with Lybian army. Илья Коренев is a former officer (now retired) and a former member of SpetsNaz who is no longer serving in any unit. The guy is a flipping mercenary fighting for either ideals or a tonn of cash.
