Aside from all of this, I have an uncle in Charlotte who just found out he has lung cancer. My parents drove ten hours from Florida to see him this past weekend and just got back.

I'm worried for my parents in Florida, now I'm extra worried for my uncle. He's surrounded by his three children and multiple grandchildren there but that's a huge clan of more family members to worry about...besides my parents in Ft Myers, more relatives in Orlando, Miami, too many to mention!!

Asheville must be beautiful!! I always wanted to visit the Biltmore Estate there...if it still matters

Elevation is 2800 feet above sea level. Not sure that is much consolation if we are talking earthquake doom. Flood/Hurricane doom we can manage...earthquake/meteor doom not so much!
