I was at the Cards training camp last week. A eagles fan told me he was afraid to wear his jersey. I told him to look around almost everybody her has kids I did not think it was a problem, but it was the smart thing to do.

A friend of mind, big tough guy went to a raiders game when they were in LA - he wore a seahawks t, & was afraid to leave his seat until the game was long over.

Wowwwwwwww. Can't even have a civil rivalry in sports anymore. smh

living in the PHX area u have retired sports fans from all over the country & Canada - I decide to become a fan of the local teams. U have the cactus league, the BCS championship - super bowl - we have the town of Buckeye, named after Ohio State. I c bumper stickers from all over all the time.

There is that incident in LA were that giants fan was almost beat to death & here a Cowboys fan put a cards fan in the hospital. It seams 2 b getting worse.

Yah, I can foresee some sports "flash mobs" this year. Agree. It's going to get worse.

Philly fans are notorious for doing things like swearing at kids and pushing people's grandmas down stairs at games.

That's sick.

I believe all of the stadiums and arenas in Philly have jail cells built into them and at least one of them, I believe the football or baseball stadium, has an official court office and a police station.

I wasn't aware of that. Well, at least they'll be prepared for the inevitable flash mobs.

The audience boos when everyone else boos and they cheer when everyone else cheers. An example of an active group is a riot. People destroy and vandalize for sometimes-unclear reasons. They do that because everyone else is doing it.

Then again, with all the championship riots, violence and property damage (and now pre-season games), sports audiences may end up in the active group. Just sayin...
