Who Remembers the '80s "Duck Book" - Bob White & Ron Paul?
Man, I wish I kept them around! Back in the early 1980s there was a Conservative/Libertarian-based publication called "The Duck Book". It was published by Bob White, who became a self-made millionaire from developing a process to remove ground-in tire rubber from airport runways. Sadly White was murdered in Belize in 1988.

In his large-format magazines (almost a book) he proposed the idea that the ideal candidate for President was a new Representative from Texas - Ron Paul.

Anyone else remember these books?

you must have a really good memory. Even if someone on GLP has read that book (a long time ago), it would be hard to remember his mention of Ron Paul.

Yes! I DO remember the Duck Book! It was GREAT reading--seems it was once a month or so---and free! I felt so bad when he was killed down there in Belize--seems it was thugs who were robbing him. And yes, I do remember his mentioning Ron Paul.

I just read where some guy was elected with the help of the "Duck Dynasty". It Triggered my mind if these are the same people associated with Robert White. I always wondered what happened to Bob. I did not know he was killed. I talked on the phone with him and have an original issue of the "CONTRARIANS". It was titled "THE DUCK BOOK" and was mailed out of Cocoa, Fla.This publication had to do with increasing personal wealth. I did not know about his process for cleaning runways. I'm looking for the magazine, i may still have one?
I remember it wel.

Yes I recall it pretty well even though it has been a long time ago.
I had called and talked to Mr. White, of course that was probably around 1980.
I was in my 20's then.
I have looked around to see if I had an old copy lying around to get a picture of the duck holding the book (upside down) if I recall correctly.
Sorry to hear he was murdered. Anyone have any info?
I remember it wel.

Yes, I remember the duck book. Robt White gave away free subscriptions for life. "My life, not yours". I recall he was murdered by some Honduran thugs on a beach in Honduras, not Belize, while he was involved in some kind of conference or seminar down there. Life is so transient.

I remember. Huge book, came to me unsolicited while a college student, just after joining Libertarian Party. Too bad I didn't become subscriber. It featured several excerpts from newsletters White subscribed to.

Re: Who Remembers the '80s "Duck Book" - Bob White & Ron Paul?
I distinctly remember the Duck Book. As I recall, Bob White had cancer, and his Duck Book was his way of making a difference before he died. I did not know he was murdered.

RE: his mention of Ron Paul. Yes, I recall. I also recall reading stuff that was printed in The DUck Book that Paul had written. I remember the first time I read a piece authored by Ron, I did a double take. How could an elected politician speak so plainly and truthfully? I was instantly a fan, and subsequently supported him in his election for Senate from TX, which he lost to Bob Graham, and in each of his POTUS runs.

Re: Who Remembers the '80s "Duck Book" - Bob White & Ron Paul?
I remember the Duck Book, I was age 16 and found it on the coffee table at a friend of our family and when I showed interest it was given to me and perhaps that was the beginning of my understanding of conspiracy theories around CFR, Bilderberg and other secret society one world government oligarchy.

Can't go there without also mentioning Robert Anton Wilson Illuminatus Trilogy. And I grew up in anaheim, and our local conspiracy hero was Wally George and the Hot Seat. Ok so Bow White in the Duck Book addressed the conspiracy with greater intellect tying puzzle pieces together that we can clearly identify a group of progressives pushing for a new world order for many years, perhaps beginning most progressively with Woodrow Wilson and the disaster of the 16th amendment.

Bob's your uncle!
