Also i thought the threat was of making the sun flare and about the debris tail. Plus idk how many people youll find here to trust nasa. Aside from that, do you think if they knew a comet was gonna hit, theyd say so? No freakin way. So then why the hell is anyone gonna believe them? |

Though I do lend more credibility to NASA than the lone armchair astronomer. I thought this was interesting to see all the questions that have been going around put together like this. I am skeptical to both views. I am not sure what to believe considering the Cornell University research paper on the Moon's orbit, and how a brown dwarf could cause such perterbances of the moon. The paper also says that such a theory, though possible, is more likely improbable. In God I trust |

There was a video on here this morning that showed Elenin, and a red dwarf with it. Very strange, the whole deal is. I guess we won't have long to wait and see. Doom or No Doom is right around the corner. Thanks for posting your opinion OP. |

Elenin by itself may not seem to cause anything significant, but with her buddy Honda which is passing close this week. [link to www.newscorners.com] And Aphosis occuring in 2013. All of these together maybe? I'm no expert though |

Quoting: <<FOCUS HARDER>>The problem with the incoming mini-star theories is that such things would have screwed up orbital paths of objects in the solar system by now. Apparently nasa agrees because they mentioned that in this article (i've posted that many times over the last few months) My Interesting Karma messages: - "You are an idiot. Doom or No Doom is right around the corner. Thanks for posting your opinion OP. Quoting: <<FOCUS HARDER>>I also wonder that- especially given the potential it has of creating havoc within our solar system with other objects it passes, if it is indeed a dangerous comet. Thank you for your opinion too, Focus Harder. To the person who gave me a -1 karma point, no where did I say I believed NASA, I stated that as of right now, I am on the fence. There is so much out here right now regarding the doom portion with no scientific evidence of it being a dangerous comet vs. the scientists who have a great deal of knowledge on space objects, and access to incredible equipment to find these objects. Even so, I tend to "trust no one" and still take what NASA says with some reservations, as I do those people who claim to have an uncle or a friend who knows an inside scoop and posts wild claims as being fact. I posted this article to talk about and found it to be good timing since Elenin is drawing closer and thanks to those who have posted their comments/thoughts- it's interesting to hear other peoples opinion on the matter, despite the - karma. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1491347 United States 08/17/2011 01:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Often, comets are portrayed as harbingers of gloom and doom in movies and on television, but most pose no threat to Earth. Comet Elenin, the latest comet to visit our inner solar system, is no exception. Elenin will pass about 22 million miles (35 million kilometers) from Earth during its closest approach on Oct. 16, 2011. Quoting: starrynytesAlso known by its astronomical name C/2010 X1, the comet was first detected on Dec. 10, 2010, by Leonid Elenin, an observer in Lyubertsy, Russia, who made the discovery "remotely" using an observatory in New Mexico. At that time, Elenin was about 401 million miles (647 million kilometers) from Earth. Since its discovery, Comet Elenin has -- as all comets do -- closed the distance to Earth's vicinity as it makes its way closer to perihelion, its closest point to the Sun. NASA scientists have taken time over the last several months to answer the public's questions. Compiled below are the some of the most popular questions (Q), with answers (A) from Don Yeomans of NASA's Near-Earth Object Program Office at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., and David Morrison of the NASA Astrobiology Institute at the NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif. Q&A debunking Elenin and a brown dwarf in our solar system here: [link to www.spaceref.com] I personally think Elenin won't be a problem, but have read some interesting hypothesis from reputable scientists on brown dwarfs in our solar system. OK ONE MORE TIME. GO HERE TO READ ABOUT what a brown dwarf is, in the first page of this thread. This is TRUTH folks. You are spreading lies. Internet makes it really easy. This whole elenin thing is a thing and nothing more. Thread: Nibiru is not here plus an archive of my posts. I get this TRUTH from Michael of Nebadon WHO IS GOD of this sector of space we live in. |
