Hey TG! I've missed you too! We had a monster lightning storm this morning and I got my router blown up, and just got back on the air a while ago...good thing I have money to burn!! Ha ha ha!

Well, Thursday I went to Mountain Home and joined the Southern Cruisers Club, then went on a run with about 20 other bikes across the lake on a ferry! Then up into Missouri and back down to MH. My first ride with a large group, and my first boat ride on my bike...lots of fun and sun! Got home about 9 and passed out, so very tired. I posted a couple of messages to you as an AC, but you didn't notice my sly hints...except that one...

Friday, the big Mountains, Music and Motorcycles event started in Mtn. View and I went on a poker run with a few hundred others. I was cruizin' about 70 mph when I saw a deer getting ready to leap out in front of me...luckily, I've lived in deer country a long time and I knew that the best thing to do is slam on the brakes because if there is one deer, there are usually 3, and at least one of them will run out into the road. I did my "emergency stop procedure" and got it down to 40 or so when the deer ran right out in front of me! My front tire touched her back leg so a major disaster was barely avoided! Adrenalin rush, baby! Woooohooooo!!

More excitement later that evening when I lost my hat as I was heading up the twisty mountain road to home...I did a quick U-turn and went back for my hat. No traffic coming so I just stopped in the middle of the road and picked it up...at that same moment, the county sheriff hit his lights and siren...he must have snuck up on me with his headlights off. He was pointed one way, and I was pointed the other, so I took off!! He had no safe place to turn around right there, so I had a good head start. I went about 1/2 mile and did another u turn and went back toward him, knowing that he would be turning around to come back...Heee heee! I passed him going back up the mountain then did another uturn and passed him again, going opposite directions. He gave up at this point and I made it home safe. There were so many bikes in town, there's no way he could identify me, and I didn't want to talk to him, so.... Adrenalin rush, baby!! That's how I roll.....hee hee!

Saturday was full of poker runs, biker games, live bands, thousands of bikes and bikers downtown. Watched a great stunt biker show with guys doing amazing things on their high performance bikes...unbelievable things! I put about 500 miles on my bike that day, and had a blast! Danced in the street and spent a bunch of money...

Sunday was more relaxed, still rode a couple of long runs with groups. Followed a woman rider into a sharp curve way too fast and dragged my foot-peg into the blacktop for about 5 feet, trying to turn as sharp as I could. Almost lost it! Adrenalin rush, baby! Woooohooo! Life is good!!!

Finished my Sunday at my twice-monthly drum circle up in Norfork, then made it home and collapsed from exhaustion, sunburned, exhaust pipe burned, worn out...I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep and get over a bad sunburn.

I must say, it was a very exciting and fun weekend!! Got another big bike run coming up this Saturday!!

how's your week going? i've canned so many quarts and pints of peaches and green beans. plums, also. i'm gonna upload my pics and show off.

Yes, it was rip roaring all right...felt like I was back in high school when I was ditchin' the cops! Funny addition to that story: Today I finished a Concealed Carry Weapons course and had to go to the Sheriff's office to get fingerprinted...rode my Yamahog and parked right in front of the Sheriff's window, went in and asked to be fingerprinted...one of the deputies was eyeballin' my bike and me with a very suspicious and pissed off face! I just smiled and acted all innocent...what, me bad??? NO WAY! Ha!

Peaches and green beans and plums too...sounds great! How big is your stash of canned goods? I didn't even plant a garden this year, even tho I bought a bunch of seeds...lazy bum, is me.

Got a big bike run with my new gang tomorrow! I'm jammin' in as much fun as possible before I ascend in October...
