It is happening right now in Tennessee. Go look.I was smoking a cig and happened to notice it. Please verify. It is also happening in Arkansas according to a friend of mine.

Lower level clouds can move any way the wind takes them...up, down, left, right, mesoscale cyclone, all kinds of ways you have never even thought of. Completely normal. Look up shear and mesoscale cyclones if you are really interested in weather stuff.

I noticed it last night and today. The lower atomospheric clouds will pause and appear to change direction and then resume the course they were on. Is it normal? I haven't noticed it before.

I observed this a few nights ago in South Carolina but I couldn't tell if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. I watched the clouds for a good while and kept blinking but I couldn't really tell if what I was seeing was simply an illusion or not. I finally decided it was probably just me and went back inside. With cyclonic winds it would mean that a storm is involved, there is still blue skies here and no rain or storms to speak of.
