Black Triangle UFO seen just 20 minutes ago over Western Illinois
We just went out to walk the dog, some lights in the sky moving fast directly overhead caught my eye. A triangular ship... huge... with white lights around the periphery of the triangle, equally spaced lights... about a dozen lights in all. Totally silent running -- not one sound. Traveling quite fast; faster than any airplane... flew over us, toward the east and over the next city and then turned, abruptly north, and flew away at tremendous speed.

No shit. Both of us saw it. There was no question about it being a black triangle ship...

Totally weird. The 2nd UFO I have seen in my life.

Anybody else in Western Illinois seeing any black triangle ships in the sky moving totally silently, all light up, at tremendous speed at no more than, maybe, 6,000 feet altitude?

Bizarre...

This was not a balloon...

This thing was moving way fast... 3 to 4 times the speed of an airplane. It was probably 6,000 feet up... totally and completely silent. It was not blowing along in a wind nor being propelled by any wind-driven propeller -- this thing was like antigravity smooth movement fast and totally silent.

It is heading toward northern Illinois, I suspect, based on its last heading.

Eyes open in the Rockford area...

You should check out the front page of Coast to Coast´s website. They have a picture of a triangular object that was seen in the skies of Ohio last night. Does it look like what you saw?

Going out to take a peek.

Here in the Kenosha region we´ve seen some odd lights/craft from time to time.

(Could it have been a stealth fighter or bomber. Great Lakes Naval is south of us on Lake Mich though I don´t know if they could land one.)

A few times the Mrs. & I have seen very odd craft ABOVE a populated area like malls, food places, etc. but no one seems to look up, other than us oddballs. LOL

Black project " Wing "

aliendave.com

It´s one of ours. Stays up for weeks on end. Crew of 12. Silent as death. 5 times wider than a B52.

One crashed while spying on the russian fleet. Wasn´t much left of it. Download of the flim won´t make it over the waves. Think the radar systems of the ships messed up the fly by wire.

Re: Black Triangle UFO seen just 20 minutes ago over Western Illinois
I´ve never witnessed an actual craft I was certain was something ´otherworldly´ though I wish I did.

I´ve seen strange lights, etc. but the skeptical side of me has never been certain.

The oddest thing I´ve ever seen was with a friend years back in the late seventies at a state campground on Lake Superior in the Porcupine Mtns. in the Mich U.P.

The campground was still and my stoner pal and I were passing a joint back and forth around 3am at the lakeshore. I was shining a camping flashlight across the overcast sky as the waves crashed against the rocks.

From what I understand, no commercial/private air traffic is allowed over the lake.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, and without a sound, a HUGE light lit up about a quarter of a mile from us over the water, where I had just aimed the flashlight. It didn´t move, it wasn´t a chopper. In fact to this day I still wonder what the heck that thing was.

Another thing, in retrospect, was that we really didn´t seem to overreact to the event but went to our tent instead to crash and never really spoke about it either then or the next day. That seems more peculiar to me now than it did then. With marriage, kids, job moves, I lost track of my pal but I wonder if he remains as puzzled about it today as I do.

There were no OBEs or anything like that. (I did have a series of them prior, however, in my early twenties. LOL)

Nope, this was no jet or other identifiable normal aircraft. This looked, no kidding, like a huge triangular starship type thing that had white running lights around its edges and went fast as heck, looked about 6,000 feet up, and made NOT ONE SOUND at all.

Totally freaky. I was expecting a death ray or something given its definite not-normality.

Above user says "Its one of our black wing projects." The thing was certainly silent as death. 12 crewmembers and it stays aloft for 2 weeks and makes no sounds?

Is it antigravity technology?

This thing reminded me of Starwars, no kidding, looked like a ship right out of the movies.

Bizarre.

Flying Triangles Explained?

Those of you who scan the aircraft magazines in newsagents, might have been surprised by the cover of the March issue of Aircraft Illustrated – namely with revelations of a delta-planform aircraft seen flown out of Groom Lake (Area 51) by aviation enthusiasts. It has to be said that this is not the obvious magazine that would feature such revelations about black projects, since it usually concerns itself with commercial aspects of aviation.

The article was mainly composed of a curious account of three ‘watchers’ based on Tikaboo Peak, who made little effort to conceal their presence from the security ‘camo-dudes’, by lighting a campfire at night to cook food! It would have been very evident to the authorities that either UFO or aviation enthusiasts were watching, yet apparently, they chose to fly out a hitherto unknown aircraft in broad daylight. The description was of a fairly large (30m length) dense black delta-planform aircraft, with no visible cockpit, nor visible engine intakes. When a rear view was afforded to the observers, the engines were not in the wings like the SR-71, but were in the central fuselage – and were two large rectangular exhaust nozzles, which suggested thrust-vectoring capability. These exhausts were glowing white, as if on reheat, but the observer’s didn’t report the loud engine roar, as might have been expected for an aircraft of this size.

The accompanying artists impression was perhaps more of a hybrid of the observed vehicle, and the reputed A-17 ‘Switchblade’ – effectively a swing wing variant off the stealth aircraft programme, although many observers question where such an aircraft would fit into the USAF’S inventory. Interestingly, retired aerospace engineer Roy Dutton was not overly impressed by the artists impression, as part of his work had been to analyze reports and photos of ‘secret’ aircraft to evaluate their potential flight performance. As Roy points out – none of these reported secret aircraft, or artists impressions, are remotely similar to the ‘real FT UFOs’ seen for the past 20-odd years around the world, and do not demonstrate the flight characteristics or envelope of ‘FTs’. For instance, the various claims for ‘Aurora’, and indeed Groom Lake suggests the need for a 5km runway and take-off run – this doesn’t in itself indicate a high performance aircraft for its size, and certainly doesn’t fit with reports of FT’s in vertical flight!

The April issue of Aircraft Illustrated has further coverage of the black projects of Groom Lake, and other bases, and is well worth a read for background into the speculation of black project types, based on sporadic sightings by various witnesses. It will also be worthwhile to re-visit some UFO reports where ‘non-silent’ deltas have been reported.

There is much speculation in the aviation world that a ‘black project’ is about to be made known to the media and public, much as the F-117 and B-2 were a few years ago. However, it should not be forgotten that both of these types had been operational for many years before they were ‘made public’, and by then the next-generation of black projects was well under way – resulting in types such as the claimed A17, TR-3A, F121 – also known as the Black Manta, Switchblade, Aurora etc etc. If any of these are to be made public, then you can bet that 3rd , 4th and 5th generation black projects are in development! At a conservative estimate, it will take black projects between 10 and 15 years to be revealed into the ‘white world’.

After viewing the ‘evidence’ presented in Aircraft Illustrated, I would agree with Roy Dutton that it doesn’t come close to explaining the reports of delta-aircraft that defy our ‘laws’ of aerospace and physics – such as silent hovering, instantaneous supersonic flight, right-angle turns and shape-changing to name but a few!

Case not closed…

Re: Black Triangle UFO seen just 20 minutes ago over Western Illinois
On 04-09-2005 I saw what I believe to be a UFO in Sydney, Comanche County Texas at 9:12 local time. I offer some unique observations.

That evening, I was walking back to my motor home after wildboar hunting in an unpopulated area that I lease for hunting. The sky was clear; wind calm and the sun had just set. The sky was growing darker and darker blue straight above and stars were beginning to show. The sky was becoming black in the east. The setting sun was still keeping the western horizon illuminated and indirect lighting from the west made it possible to see my way without a flashlight.

I had my .243 Win. Remington 700 varmint rifle of which I am a quite an accomplished shooter. It is considered a "high-powered" rifle. I do quite a bit of bench rest competitive shooting with it as well as hunting. The rifle is set up with a high-tech "Leupold" optical sight, (scope) which is extremely accurate and highly specialized for great light gathering ability and performs best in low light conditions. It is not what is called a "night vision" sight. The scope magnifies the target image with great sharpness and definition and the magnification is adjustable from 4.5 to 14 times that of the natural image.

Upon my return to the motor home, I was tired after a long walk. I had carried quite a bit of equipment with me. I sat on a chair, took my eyeglasses off and toweled my face as it is already becoming hot in Texas. While I rested, without my glasses on, I noticed three very "unfocused" lights to my south and these lights were moving toward me. Immediately I put my glasses back on and saw what I believe was a UFO. (SEE ATTACHED ANIMATIONS) (a) Is the appearance of the vehicle without my glasses on and (b) is the view I had with my glasses on.) (I drew the images on my pc) The object approached from the south-southwest and while moving north-north east, passed almost directly overhead making no sound whatsoever. I estimate its altitude to be somewhere about 800 feet and its airspeed speed approximately 30 mph. It "floated" and did not fly as it obviously had insufficient airspeed to fly. (I am a Physicist & an FAA Licensed Pilot)

While the sky was almost entirely black behind it, I could clearly see its underside as it was illuminated from the fading sunlight to the west. I estimate that the machine was about 60 feet wide and 80 feet long and 10 feet thick at the rear. Under its belly, there was a straight line going from its leading tip toward the center of the aft edge of the fuselage, which was perpendicular to its travel. This straight edge clearly showed its shape to be three-dimensional. The straight line showed that its belly was V-shaped, much like the hull of a speedboat. It was similar to the space shuttle as when viewed from in front and below the shuttle.

This machine was directly over me and I was alone in the middle of nowhere, therefore, I felt quite "uneasy." It made no threatening moves whatsoever, but I aimed my rifle at it and through the riflescope, which was set on 8.5 power, I could clearly see surface detail in explicit detail. The machine’s surface detail appeared to be covered with well-fitted tiles, much like the ceramic tiles used on the United States Space Shuttle. Then in the fading light, I noticed a distinct marking.

This marking was absolutely shocking, as I could actually read it! It was white print outlined in black on a red arrow pointing toward a rectangle of sorts. The arrow pointed at a something rectangular that I cannot define, but I clearly could read these three words, “EMERGENCY RELEASE and RESCUE.” In the same place were other words that appeared too fuzzy to read. I suspect that these words were “PULL FOR...” Instantly I realized that this was a military machine and no “flying saucer.” I felt much better as I knew that these were surface details that were intended to help rescue people access and then be able to remove the pilots on board in the event of a crash.

I kept the crosshairs on the center of the aircraft as it disappeared into the darkness but as I realized it was “one of ours” and it was not a threat to my own personal safety (I think) I put the rifle safety back on. I can see however that others may have “defensively” shot at it --- and that may have resulted in a crash of the vehicle.

I am somewhat “pissed off” at the military as while this area is directly under the Ft. Hood, Texas MOPA and practice flights are flown daily, really - they should not be taking chances like this where someone on the ground could actually be shooting the damned things down! I am sure that the military pilots (if it even had a crew…) were aware of my presence but they NEVER expected possible “offensive action” to be taken against them on this low level flight. The last thing I would have ever have wanted would have taken a “defensive” shot and then find American military pilots onboard in the wreckage.

I actually see a bizarre light outside right now. It´s twinkling like, but I don´t think it´s a star, if it is it´s the most birghtest star I´ve ever seen and it´s not Arcturus.
