Yep, most all movies are shot and edited out of sequence. A friend had a son in a Shirly MacLain movie who was horsewhipped violently...it was a cloth strand whip and the sound effects worked.

Completely forgot about Taxi! Jodie Foster was only 13 when filming began. Oddly enough Linda Blair was going to get the role of Iris until they handed it off to Jodie. While your at it you should look at Tatum O Neal, she's a lesbian just like Jodie.

Indeed. She was my next bump. Although, I don't know enough about Paper Moon, or if that is the one you are indicating.

My mom was pregnant with me, when my dad took her out to see, Taxi Driver.

She said she was so horrified, that by the time the scene where they are beating that guy's dead body, she threw up in her mouth, stood up, yelled at my dad, and left the theater.

She told me about that more than once, while I was growing up.

Funny the things that stick with you...

70s seemed like a decade of the most vile child exposure. Brooke Shields, Michael Jackson, Gary Coleman...sickening! I remember Todd Bridges saying that he had to do some foul stuff as a teen to land roles.

What's really odd was when the exorcist 2 was made, Linda Blair was 17 and they showed her in skimpy outfits and there was a scene where you saw her breasts. Also, in the movie, Blame it on Rio, the young actress that played the girl having an affair with Michael Cain also has her topless. She was 17. This would be considered illegal now but somehow it was acceptable in the 70's??

The pattern.

Brittany Murphy
The 2000s saw Murphy with roles in Don't Say a Word (2001) alongside Michael Douglas, and alongside Eminem in 8 Mile (2002), for which she gained critical recognition. Her later roles included Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), Spun (2002), Uptown Girls (2003), Sin City (2005), and Happy Feet (2006). Murphy also voiced Luanne Platter on the animated television series King of the Hill (1997–2009). Her final film, Something Wicked, was released in April 2014.

I met Linda Blair on a plane coming back from Chicago flying into los Angeles just after she finished filming the Exorcist. The stewardess came up to me and asked me if I wanted to sit with another kid and I replied yes when we walk up I noticed oh it's a girl and I still sat down she asked me a bunch of questions and she started to tell me about the film that she just got done she started to tell me about some of the scenes and I thought she was crazy because it was the first movie ever of that kind. I ended up getting up and walking back to my old seat. It wasn't until many years later I realized I was sitting next to Linda Blair

It was said that the closet scene terrified her so completely, that Steven Spielberg promised she would not have to do it again and that is why she appears like a doll in that scene.

The older sister that you see in the last second of this clip, was murdered shortly after.
