It may have something to do with the fact that it was just a movie with makeup and fake blood.

Those people were actors.

None of them were thrown out of a window.

It was just pea soup...

Here's an ironic one:

Olivia Hussey was 15 when Romeo and Juliet (1968) was filmed, in which she appeared partially nude.

As a result of her own nudity, if it had been released while she was still 15, then she wouldn't have been allowed to view it legally w/o a guardian. Newspapers emphasized that as a publicity gimmick

Beats me but I doubt that's the only example of underaged kids in mature rated films and you're probably like 40 years late with this one.

in fact more than a few of the Hollywood "activists: for this issue of child exploitation...would be nothing and no one would even know who they are were they not exploited as children..so in a way they can thank their good fortune now on their bad fortune in the past...or maybe theyre doing what all monopolists do...writing laws to ensure there is no competition for themselves

At least they didn't make her act the scene where she's supposed to masturbate with the crucifix. That's where I'd draw the line.

just wondering how its okay for a thirteen year old kid to be in such a gory, violent and profane film, when anyone under the age of 17 wasnt even allowed to see it!?!?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72619462

I just realized how timely this thread bump was and a very good topic broached by OP.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to mention Pretty Baby and it was.

With that said a bit of creepy sync for you all.

One of the twins that played baby Oscar in Ghostbusters 2, hung himself last week after decades with extreme mental illness.

What is creepy is that as a baby he was subjected to a acting in a movie and scenes that called for him to be possessed by the Babalonian God, Vigo. A devil.

Also, there are scenes where the baby is being told rather disturbing things which may or may not, have contributed to his developing of mental illness later in life.

How many times was this scene filmed? Did he really say those things or was it added in later?

Point is, OP makes a very good point.

Heather O'rourke died of septic shock at the age of 12.

It was said that the closet scene terrified her so completely, that Steven Spielberg promised she would not have to do it again and that is why she appears like a doll in that scene.

The older sister that you see in the last second of this clip, was murdered shortly after.

Just saw this.

Excellent timing.

Thread: 238 ARRESTED IN MAJOR HOLLYWOOD PEDO BUST
[link to www.neonnettle.com]

<SNIP>
According to police, the arrests included some "major Hollywood players" as well as politicians, white-collar professionals, a monk, and other high-ranking clergy members.

The raids were conducted by the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes against Children task force, working directly with the Justice Department. Codenamed "Operation Broken Heart III", the sweeping raids targeted offenders wanted for the sexual exploitation of children, child prostitution, sex tourism and possessing and distributing child pornography, said Deputy Chief Matt Blake of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Hmmmmm ...wonder who ??

Indeed. She was my next bump. Although, I don't know enough about Paper Moon, or if that is the one you are indicating.

My mom was pregnant with me, when my dad took her out to see, Taxi Driver.

She said she was so horrified, that by the time the scene where they are beating that guy's dead body, she threw up in her mouth, stood up, yelled at my dad, and left the theater.

She told me about that more than once, while I was growing up.
