How? Is hell some vital element of salvation? I've been here for 4+ years telling christers to cut the BS and get serious - that praying a sinners prayer barely cratches the surface, and we have to follow Him through Gethsemane ("the olive oil press") to the corss (self-death). Taking up our cross and denying ourselves and dying daily. Don't be a Laodicean. Etc.

If someone says "Jesus saves", you guys can't applaud loud enough, but if I say "Jesus saves everyone", I'm the devil? Fine.

My post stands whether hell exists or not. This is about corrupt hearts wishing DOOM! upon their fellow man.

I'm not an anti-christian. I'm In Christ. I can't live without Him. But even if I weren't, normal functional people would agree that wishing such a fate as eternal hellfire on someone is sick. Regular people recognize this a mile away, but the religious somehow can't. Go figure.

They really can't see the irony of how alike they are to the people who harmed me. Just as they thought I was bad and deserving of it, so these 'comforters' think that these 'evil' people are deserving of it. Perspective is the ONLY thing that separates them--except they both think THEY are the "good ones"!

As a Christian, I know full well that I didn't deserve His mercy or His forgiveness, and so my heart is to tell others that God loves them. And I mean that.

Because you said that even absence of repentance is no obstacle. However, the word tells us that it is. No sin will enter into heaven.

God gave us a choice and instruction. He also corrects us, but sometimes we are stubborn, and I say that from experience.

The bible gives us a picture of what sin is, how it corrupts us and how it hurts others. When Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself." There are rules involved. If you love someone you won't steal from them, you won't lie to them etc...

There's a verse in James that says, "when desire is conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death.

I can see the truth in that, a compulsive liar started off with just one lie at a time until it became a part of that person. I'm sure that you can see that in all kinds of wrongs that are done against humanity.

God is Holy, there's nothing corrupt about Him. Do you think that corruption can even stand in His presence? I sure don't.

The stone that the builder's rejected. If you fall on it you are broken, if it falls on you you are crushed. I have to tell you I am crushed. I know very few will take notice, but don't wish for doom, pray sincerely for your very worst enemy. You want to be a God, I tell you it is better to be a child of God. He protects you and gives you so much in so many ways. I would not wish on my worst enemy that he be denied God's grace and love.

I can only hope and pray to God that He works salvation for everybody.

So correction in Biblical terms equates to pushing a little child's hand back onto the hot stove they touched because they were bad for touching it? That's what hell basically is, it's torture! Nothing can be learned from that, what the hell is the point??
