The U.S. is happy to remind us, twice a year, that it can give to and take away from us at will.

I´m in the US and I refuse to change my clock. It´s wrong for six months out of the year.
It´s a Yin/Yan thing I guess.

It´s stupid. But I think all of them do.

Okay let me see. When I lived in Indiana we did not, Florida we did, South Dakota we did, Virginia we did, Hawaii we did not, Alaska we did, and here in Puerto Rico we do not. Come Sunday we will be Atlantic time here.
