1. This is about the Palestinians, not the Arabs.

- When you see the thievery of land which your ancestors have held and housed for generations, what would you do?
- When you see the roots of your forefathers removed from that which was yours, what would you do?

I hear your call for non-violence, Overmind, and I totally agree. However, when faced with over 4 decades of systematic subjugation, do we blame them much for retaliating in such primitive ways? Is it not human nature to stand up and fight for what is...an injustice. Remember, that the majority of souls that inhabits this planet at this junction in time are young at heart. Do we love our children less for fighting amongst themselves, no we do not. We try and educate them as to what is rational and what isn't and hope that one day, the fighting may stop so that love may flourish again. The sandpit is big enough to fit everyone. There is really no need to be selfish in order to claim each grain of sand. I really do wish we could all take a page from the souls that preceded us and were successful in their peaceful protests. Do remember though that Ghandi & MLK were both removed for their guiding light because TPTB wish us to dwell in darkness. Unfortunately this is the current reality and it is a sad fact. That is why this flotilla is important. It represents a peaceful protest that is trying to bring light to a darkened area in this world that may have the ability to heal the entire planet.

Every Arab Muslim in the region is a "palestinian", when it's good for the cause of Israel's destruction. Otherwise, "palestinians" don't exist.

1. This is about the Palestinians (current residents with previous generations in the area), not the Arabs in general.
2. I never said Israel was the only apartheid state in the Middle East.
3. How many Jews are even present in these neighboring countries? Very few, they are a very small minority. This is especially true when they aren't even allowed in the country, in which case representation is meaningless.
4. If you want to play the numbers game, almost 12% (14/120) of the Knesset are Arabs, while Arabs represent about 20% of the population. If that's wrong, blame wikipedia.

I get a bit annoyed when people on both sides of an argument transform a gray issue into a black and white perspective that supports their biased opinion. It is obvious Israel is an apartheid state, but the Muslims are just adding fuel to the fire. Both sides are racist or bigoted, both use propaganda, both sides are indoctrinating children with the hate the previous generations possessed. The original source may be the Zionist agenda, but the original residents are not fighting the "invaders" correctly. The Martin Luther King Jr. tactic usually works better. Violence just creates more hostilities on the opposite side, heightened security and stronger weapons. Peaceful protests are increasing, but as long as Palestinians continue being violent in any way, Israel gets to pull the national defense card.
