Well, I'm not going to argue all the semantics. I can give you some tips, but the issue really is whether or not you are "blocked" in the section of Wealth.

Feng Shui basically lays your house out like a grid. Hopefully, your apartment is either square or rectangular. If so, you're in business.

To get started, you want to do some things with your Wealth corner to help get the energy there moving--but not too quickly!

The Wealth area of your home is basically the far left corner (if you have just walked in through your front door and are facing into the house.

In an ideal world, it looks like this, sort of:

...............Room... Room... [wealth corner room]
Front door:...room.... room... room
...............room... room... room

So ideally, your door is in the center of the front wall. Of course, no home is ever laid out so perfectly, but you get the idea.

If there are "rooms" missing from there, you have to use what's called a "cure".

If you have space where the wealth corner is, you want to use greens and golds there. If there is a window or a door, you want to cover the window with a drape. If a door, hang a mirror on the inside of it (mount it well so it doesn't fall off and break!!).

If the bathroom is there, that's pretty bad. That's "money down the toilet" and is bad juju. In such a case, whether it's a kitchen ("money down the drain") or other sort of water works in the wealth corner, you want to put a red tape or ribbon around the drain or on the back of the toilet (no one looks there anyway). Plus try to keep that door closed.

Barring a water works sort of plumbing issue there, just try to see what it says about you. Then try to turn it into what you want. If it looks sparse and barren... your money situation will be sparse and barren. If there's some kind of gaping outlet like a door or a window, then it's easy for your money to escape (or is always going out the door).

Good things for your wealth corner include a money tree (make one inside a frame and put it there... nice art work and also improves the health of the corner). A fish tank or water fountain (money circulating = good!) is nice. Some golden coins (real or not isn't important) will add richness and opulence to the area. Red drapes or a red throw if you have a sofa can also add opulence.

Good luck with it. Feng Shui is fun. If you really are interested, I encourage you to get a good book on it and have some fun. :)

Well by golly I'm stitting here at my desk and I do believe this is the "far left corner". The front door leads to stairs...then there is the real front door. So should my technical front door be the outer one that leads to the stairway enterance, or the front door at the top of the stairs? If it's the front door at top of stairs then the far left corner is my desk where the computer is now.

Great tips...so far google is ok but confusing and I do need to buy a book but hoping for some fast inside secrets on GLP. hf
