Can you help me with Feng Shui...my wealthy sister claims it's her secret but she won't share any tips

A lot of Feng Shui is sort of psychological, and if you really, really think about it, you can figure it out.

For example, it's best not to sit with your back to a corner. Not only is it bad energy, but there's an underlying psychology to it, too. When you sit in the corner, you are "cornered" if someone you want to escape walks into the room. This concept is there in your subconscious mind, even if you don't expect anyone to walk into the room.

You can treat this by putting up pictures of landscapes, or if there's a window there, or with some crystals or a hanging mobile. The mobile brings in movement, which the subconscious associates with freedom. A wind chime can do the same thing--that's another good thing for the wealth corner, too.

Or another sort of mental thing: You don't want the bed to be the first thing you see when you walk into your bedroom. If it is, sex will dominate the relationship/ search for relationship. Which may sound good on the surface, but sex should be the expression of an existing love... not the focus of the relationship.

Don't post pictures of yourself alone or of just a single person, single tree, single horse, single whatever when you are looking for a relationship. Surround yourself with couples to become identified with couples.

Etc.

I live on a corner... which I just heard is bad...

My front door is in pretty much a straight line down a hallway to the back door... which I also had heard was bad...

The left back room is the kitchen... which, now I hear is bad...

Darn!

However... I put a citrine crystal on the counter ledge on the back left corner of the kitchen. I DO have green kitchen towels. And I recently hung a clear crystal from the window rod on the kitchen window... which is impossible to open, for some reason...

So... now I need to put red ribbon around the drain pipes???

And clear out the tons of clutter, LOL!!

Hey, OP--have you ever heard of things called "books"?

You see, there are actual books on Feng Shui available, and if you read them you might actually learn something about it and be able to apply that to making money, instead of being bitter because your sister won't let you sponge money or knowledge off her.

BOOKS. Really. If you've "always had a passing interest," quit whining about what a meanie poopyhead your sister is and do your own damned homework--it's your job to educate yourself, and no one else's.

Hang a crystal at the front and end of the hallway. A mobile or wind chime hung in the middle (where it won't knock anyone senseless) will help alleviate that roaring energy, as well.

Yes, clutter is one of the worst things for Feng Shui. It is both psychologically damaging, and energetically damaging. Energy cannot flow where clutter is blocking it.

Try to keep drains blocked. Plug them and/or put a red ribbon around the pipes when you can. Or red duct tape. That's what I use. Red is a "stop", so it blocks the energy from escaping.

Again, try to make the area look "rich". Warm colors are good, gold is especially excellent. Green is good for Americans because we have the "greenbacks" and green money. Others who have other mental associations should utilize those.

You can use all sorts of things in a kitchen to help. Get some elegant, "rich looking" cookie jars or sugar jars of whatever. Get a decorative, rich looking pump for your dish soap. Etc.

But definitely try to treat hallways.

I think you said the hallway comes from the front door? Make sure there's not a mirror there. Mirrors are a cure to "extend" an area. You don't want to "extend" a hallway!
