If you take the time to read them all, you find that they can take anything and everything, nothing is exempted and nothing is compensated. Quoting: Tod Shwarze 1394135MOVE TO CANADA |

I'm new to stacking, but this is what I've gathered after a few months of intense reading. Lemme know if/how this is incorrect. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11307761.) Silver and gold have their prices bound together. If gold goes up, so does silver. Same deal if it declines. However, If gold hits the price that it's "supposed to be" without manipulation, then gold would be roughly 5k an oz by 2020 (according to a few speculators I've seen - just do a google search for references). Bringing silver to 1.5k an ounce, which is absurd to think about. But, this is what I'm reading anyways. Any thoughts on that? 2.) Also, everyone appears to be buying smaller denominations, (Hence the high above spot price for smaller silver coins, .5, .25, .10). Are any other people planning on using it as an actual currency? That'd be interesting. Especially if that Utah bill passes that turns it BACK INTO legal tender. I hope that cascades into neighboring states. 3.) If SHTF, will anyone even take silver? I probably would, if I had extra resources to trade. But thats just me. Can't eat silver. :( 4.) Also, anyone have any feelings about Copper, Palladium or Platinum? 5.) They can make miniature black holes and elements that do not exist in nature. They can grab hydrogen and yank it from water. Are we sure that they can't create gold and silver in a lab? That would fucking suck a big one. But anyways, I'll be happy with my stack, just as long as it matures well over a decade or two. What timeframe are you guys hoping for? In a real SHTF, silver will be completely worthless. Nobody with half a brain will give up tangible food and water for "silver". |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 554016 United States 06/30/2011 02:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | silver and gold are not bound together. the gold silver ratio is proof of that. I started buying silver when the ratio was 77. I swapped for gold at 33. Silver has more industuial uses so it will fluxuate with the economy more than gold. if gold hit 5k then silver would most likely be closer to 100-150 not 1.5k |

It rode for 100 years at 15:1 and is now 43:1. IF gold ever did hit $5000 and the ratio shrunk, then silver would be $333. If gold hit $5000 and the ratio held the same as over the past decade, we're looking at $116 silver. |
