Anonymous Coward User ID: 1380013 United States 06/30/2011 02:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's a good thing everyone has thought of all the possible options that could be causing this shift. Good thing we know for a fact that solar systems only have one sun. There are no such thing as binary stars. That would also explain the earth and solar system changes, as it is not just the earth going through this. But of course no one mentions this scenario. A large, dwarf star passing through would be causing the exact same changes, but this option is not mentioned. According to NASA, ESA and other space agencies, binaries are quite common, but yet this most reasonable scenario in not even discussed. This is scary folks, People are not buying what Al Gore is shoveling, and we are not driving SUVs on Mars - but that planet is warming like us and Venus. Come on folks, time to accept the most likely cause of this......our binary twin is coming for a visit. |

(this won't work at work...lol) and if you're female, be careful of this one in public, also. oh and coconut water is great for re-hydrating. better than those bottled sports drinks. |

Maybe a little colder than average in the southeastern region, where temperatures have reached, last tuesday, the lowest in 10 years in some cities (below 30ºF). In this latest very strong cold spell, temperatures here in the south reached 20º in some higher altitude regions (29ºF in my city) and there was some snow flurries as well. Nothing unusual for our winter so far. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1449526 United States 06/30/2011 02:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lady Ivory, Here in Texas, triple digits abound all over. You know, it's weird how people are talking about it - everyone agrees that this is NOT normal, that these are the kinds of temps we'd ordinarily see in mid-July into August. And I'll tell you, this heat is "different" - it's a hotter type of heat, does that make sense? Even when the sky is clear blue, the atmosphere seems somehow "hazy". Also, plants that normally thrive this time of year are wilting, or have not bloomed as they usually would. It's just so strange, a different feel about the environment. |

I tend to work outside a lot, so I think that I might have noticed that bit of strangeness. "What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard.
