Remember when this was a free country?

When you didn't need a permit to paint your garage?
When you could smoke?
When you could teach your kid to drive without going to jail?
When you could buy a rifle without the feds running an investigation?
When you could eat whatever you wanted to?
When schools didn't train children to be without gender?
When it was OK to disagree with the herd?
When you didn't get sued for hiring whoever you wanted to?
When the feds chased bankrobbers and muderers, instead of spying on christians and people who owned a copy of the constitution?
When communists we're disliked for their oppression, instead of loved members of the presidents cabinet?
When you could catch a plane without being irradiated, investigated and butt-raped by pedophiles?
When making a good living was encouraged?
When we didn't have fusion centers and two paramilitary outfits to control the citizenry?
When they kept score in little league?
When the news wasn't controlled or beholden to the state?
When we didn't need a board of government bureaucrats to grant us permission to have our appendix removed?
When there wasn't three million fellow citizens in jail because they enjoyed smoking the occasional doobie?
When there weren't telescreens in wal-mart encouraging us to keep an eye on our "comrades". (they may be terrorists, you know).
Or when a schoolyard fight wasn't followed by a swat team and a prison sentence.
A guy waking up from a thirty-five year coma would swear we'd been taken over by the soviets. Sorry. I'm just sick of this police state big corrupt government Orwellian nightmare. Had enough yet?
