***INLAND TSUNAMI WARNING: Fort Peck Dam 2+ feet above maximum flood storage. Imminent threat to MIDWEST of earthen dam structural failure.
“A record-setting year of moisture has raised the 134-mile-long reservoir to its highest level ever, an elevation of 2,252.3 feet as of Thursday. Full pool at the reservoir is 2,250. Inflows from the Missouri River, boosted by high water on the Musselshell River, have forced the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to release a record amount of water from its spillway - 52,000 cubic feet per second, 65,000 cfs when combined with the water being run through the powerhouse.”

The Fort Peck Dam failed back in 1938, during its construction.

The major weak point in the dam seemed to be the bentonite seams in the Bear Paw shale. Very high water pressures were reported at some points in the shale during the construction. This was likely caused by consolidation due to the overburden of the fill being placed for the dam. The excess pore pressures could not be relieved due to the low permeability of the surrounding shale. This resulted in a low effective stress in the bentonite and a very low shear strength.

HISTORY: The 1938 Fort Peck Dam Failure:

A board of blue chip consultants was formed to study the problem, and it was their decision that work should continue on the dam. The board, which consisted of Joel D. Dustin (chairman), Arthur Casagrande, Irving W. Crosby, William Gerig, Glennon Gilboy, W. H. McAlpine, C. W. Sturtevant, Thaddeus Merriman and Warren Mead, met for a total of 20 days over a five-month period, studying 26 sets of technical data. On March 3,1939, the board returned its report, which said the slide's occurrence was "due to the fact that the shearing resistance of the weathered shale and bentonite seams in the foundation was insufficient to withstand the shearing forces to which the foundation was subjected.

the dams floodgates can release quadruple the amount they are releasing at the moment. Why would the dam fail? Has it been full before? If so then why would it fail now?

It's 2+ feet above its maximum pool level.

Very safe to assume that its never been subjected to this level of sheering forces. I read somewhere that the 1938 failure was caused by only 1 foot above its maximum pool level.

And, with all the weather over the region together will the still melting mountain snow; the pool level seems likely to continue to rise much further putting even more stress on the dam. Stresses that the dam was never designed to handle.

Are they hiding something?

Why is the FORT PECK DAM CAM pointed at the sky?

Here is what the DAM CAM should be pointed at:

WTF? Why isn't it pointed at the Arm downlooking the Dam? Something smells like crap if ya ask me

Is it possible that a "Bird" misdirected the cam?

What are they hiding?

It was a quiet day, Sept.22, 1938, and work on the dam was going at a rapid pace. The dam had been completed just two weeks before, but there was murmuring among some of the men that something was wrong with the dam. ///

"Suddenly, the earth started shaking, dredge pipes and railroad tracks started shifting and sinking and a massive section of the dam swung out into the upstream as if a great earthen gate hinged on the east abutment. Machinery and men alike were swallowed up in the moving, muddy hell and 5 million cubic yards of earth slid out into the Missouri River, forming its own island. Eight men lost their lives, and six are still buried somewhere in the dam. Some who lost friends in the slide consider the dam a large gravestone for those men whose bodies were never recovered. Word spread through the area quickly that the "dam was going to give," and people packed belongings quickly and headed for higher ground."

Technically, it already failed once due to what the board claimed, was "due to the fact that the shearing resistance of the weathered shale and bentonite seams in the foundation was insufficient to withstand the shearing forces to which the foundation was subjected."

Sure they made it stronger after that 1st failure, but how much stronger? And, as to the original design. Most likely it was only designed to hold the maximum pool level. Hence the term maximum. Given the fact that many camping sites will remain flooded till the water drops at least 5 feet from present levels, its a good bet that noone on the design team ever expected the dam to actually be required to hold at the maximum level for any length of time.

The deeper the water gets, the more pressure is exerted at its base, the more sheering forces its base is subjected to.

The longer the pressure is applied, the weaker the dam becomes as its foundation is penetrated and lubricated.

nothing strange about this..........

We knew that this was coming. Look at the Edgar Casey map.
No New World Order, only a New World of Brotherhood and Unity.

'The workers have to rebel against their masters, and to become masters of themselves. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains'

Education is a RIGHT, NOT a privilege

No one deserves privileges, we ALL deserve rights! A privilege means that some one is better than you. Which is NOT CORRECT. We ALL breath the same air, we ALL share the same Earth. ONLY Brotherhood and Unity

We ALL bleed RED.

FORT PECK DAM -- made from earth fill!

Dredge, pipeline and booster unit placing fill in dam - This dredge and booster unit pushing a stream of water and mud into the dike section with a minimum lift of over 200 ft. Pipeline 28 in. in diameter - dredge placed over 41,000 cubic yards of material in dam one day this week. Four dredges, four booster units and four land car boosters place earth fill in the dam every day of the dredging season. Over 20,000,000 cubic yards of fill placed last year. 4-30-36

The markets, as does nature, all works in cycles. They know this and are likely planning for it. The signs are clear.

Both Elliott Wave followers and natures cycles are telling us that something nasty appears to be brewing. That is what worries me is that there are these signs and others all tying this together.

History does not exactly repeat itself, but it does often come close, which is the law of wave forms. Everything is based on these invisible waves and they come in relatively predictable sets...
