Back to your story. I think scientists have found a away to genetically engineer many forms of Bacteria and viruses.

These "caffeine-eating critters " are similar in structure to some of the molecules that make up our DNA.

Would make sense to genetically engineer them to attack not only the caffeine, but our DNA after we drank a cup of coffee.


Wasn't it Muammar Gaddafi, that said they are putting something in our coffee? Something about why the protesters were active so violent?
